I'm Virág, originally from Hungary, with 10 years of experience as a nanny in the UK.
I'm a warm, reliable, and responsible person who enjoys spending quality time with children. I love singing songs and nursery rhymes, playing board and card games, doing arts and crafts, reading stories, baking and cooking, exploring the outdoors, and visiting museums, parks, and farms.
I like seeing the different stages children go through and being part of their learning and development.
Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, sports, and travelling - especially to lesser-known countries. I’m passionate about learning languages and discovering different cultures. I also love volunteering at international sports events and for charities. In 2020, I cycled the entire length of Hungary’s border - cycling is an important part of my life.
I'm fully vaccinated, hold a full UK driving licence, have settled status in the UK, and a valid Paediatric First Aid certificate (2024).
My Experience
I came to the UK and London as an au pair in 2010 and started working as a nanny at the beginning of 2011.
Since then, I’ve worked with seven families, including a nanny share. I’ve looked after 10-month-old twins, a child with leukaemia, and a child with diabetes.
I grew up with dogs and am happy to spend time with them and take them for walks. I also have experience caring for a dog with behavioural issues.
In my last position, I was responsible for housekeeping, driving and cooking for the whole family - I'm happy to include these tasks in my daily routine.
I registered with Ofsted in 2013 and again in 2023, though I’m not currently registered.
I'm fully vaccinated, have settled status in the UK, a valid Paediatric First Aid certificate (2024), and a full UK driving licence.
My Qualifications
I have a certificate in Common Core Skills and Knowledge (part of the Ofsted registration), a full clean UK driving licence, a Paediatric First Aid certificate from 2024, and an Enhanced DBS.
I also hold a master’s degree in Cartography, a Level 5 TEFL certificate, a Level 2 NVQ in Spectator Safety, Level 1 in British Sign Language, and a Level 2 certificate in Food Hygiene and Safety for Catering.
