About Us

Little Lambs was established in 2012 by Katie.
Over the years it has grown from a childminders to a mini nursery. We care for children until they leave for primary school, in a unique home from home setting based in Pentire, Newquay.

We have recently been graded OUTSTANDING by ofsted in April 2022.

With over 18 years experience, Katie studied her level 3 in childcare at college before traveling as a nanny in Europe. After travelling, Katie studied Early Childhood studies at Marjon University before opening Little Lambs in 2012.

Situated in between the Gannel estuary and Fistral beach, we use our beautiful local surroundings and community within the children’s learning on a daily basis. We visit sources of interest which encourage the children to be resourceful, inventive and creative.

The first few years of a child’s life are important and fundamental to their future. Therefore, we strive to provide a home-from-home environment where children are nurtured, secure and most importantly, feel safe within our care to learn and develop.

Our days are filled with experiences and play based learning which is led from the children’s innate curiosity. The children are supported by our qualified early years practitioners who enhance their learning opportunities.

Partnerships with parents are vital and we achieve this by working closely with all our families, to provide a unique service to accommodate every child’s individual needs.

We have extensive experience with SEN.
We have extensive experience with food allergies and provide a dairy free and vegetarian menu.

We are all highly qualified, DBS checked and First Aid trained.
