About Me
My name is Shah Masuda Rahman.I am an Ofsted registered, qualified childminder and have been since 2009 with over 17 years of experience.I am nearby South Woodford station and offer free parking for parents to drop and pick up their children with ease. I am a walk from the station for parents that travel and the buses W12, W13 and 179 are nearby.
My qualifications are in:
• the H&S care level 5
• Child minding diploma in home base level 3
• Part of the local network childminders (accredited) and offer funded hours for children from ages 9 months to 3-4yrs for all working parents that are eligible.
I am an honest and reliable childminder and am determined to ensure the well being of every child under my care. As an Ofsted-registered childminder my priority is to provide a welcoming environment where every child can feel comfortable and supported. I understand that every child and family is different, so I adapt my care and activities to suit each parent’s preferences and each child’s individual needs and stage of development. I support children’s cognitive, social and emotional development through a wide range of engaging activities, including arts and crafts, imaginative role play such as kitchens and salons, sand play and creative activities. To increase their curiosity and allow them to explore I take the children to enjoy the outdoors through visits to local parks and opportunities to use outdoor toys such as cars, swings and seesaws. Through play, exploration and positive interactions, I help children develop their communication, independence, confidence and creativity.
I ensure to keep parents up to date with their child’s activities and follow a structured routine.
I welcome and respect all cultures, backgrounds and faiths, creating an inclusive setting where every child feels valued and accepted. I encourage children to use good manners, communicate positively and interact with others.
We are a non-smoking and no animal family so children will not be exposed to anything harmful or if they are allergic to animals..
My Experience
I have 17 years of experience working with parents and caring for children, which has given me plentiful of knowledge and understanding of children’s individual needs and development. I hold a Childminding Diploma and have experience caring for children aged 0 to 16 years , supporting them through some of the most important stages of childhood. My experience has taught me how to recognise and respond to each child’s personality, emotions and needs, while encouraging them to become more independent and confident. I have gained a strong understanding of how children learn through play and everyday experiences, and I take pride in creating a positive environment where children feel safe and supported to grow.
My Qualifications
I continually develop my knowledge and skills through relevant training, including First Aid, hygiene and childcare training, ensuring I provide a safe and high-quality environment for every child.
My qualifications:
- I am qualified and Ofsted Registered
- Employed as Child minder since 2009 with a NVQ level 3 and 4 for development of children.
- My family and I are CRB checked.
- First Aid level 2 (12hr course)
- Managing behaviour level 2
- I received accreditation to teach Early Education following the EYFS framework. I provide a range of various activities for children. They include messy play, music, rhymes many more stimulating activities. I provide each child with a profile folder containing observations which also includes photo evidence of their development.
- Level 2 Award in Food Safety Catering, Safe Guarding In Child Protection, Health and safety and toy house library training. Well being of behaviour, infraction of prevent etc.
- EEYFS (Exploring Early Years Foundation Stage) and Children with Additional Needs
- I complete Observations and assessment , and plans for every child.
- Public liability insurance
- I am up to date with my First Aid, Child Protection, Health & Safety and Food and Hygiene training.
- I attend all other training where ever possible to keep me up to date with current issues/laws etc.
My Availability
My availability are weekdays 7.30am 6pm (Monday to Friday) and am also available for babysitting at my house on weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
My Fees
- Childminding from £9.00 per hour
I do accept 15 to 30 funded hours free childcare.

- I provide drop offs at Oakdale Junior School
- I provide drop offs at Oakdale Infants' School
- I provide drop offs and pick ups at Churchfields Junior School

Shah has been a wonderful carer for my little girl. She started when she was 1 years old, and although my little one was very attached to me, she was able to settle in nicely with Shah. She is now 2 years old and has learnt and developed with Shah’s care.
Shah has been flexible and understanding of our needs and requirements. I have really enjoyed having my little girl with her and have felt she has been provided with the care she needs. Shah always goes the extra mile for us, and we are appreciative of everything she has done for my family.
We would recommend her childminding services to all those who are looking.

Lot appreciate
Shah looked after both my energetic 3 year old boy and sweet shy 2 year old girl for over a year each and both of them with their opposite personalities adored and genuinely trusted her. She would bend over backwards to support us and we are indebted to her for her kindness patience flexibility and understanding nature. Thank you so much. The children are older now and we have moved away but I still remember the times together fondly. Shah became like family to us!

My son has started with Shah when he was a baby and since then Shah took the best care of him, she's got patience and is caring towards my son, i trusted her as my son always felt home and he absolutely loves her, I highly recommend Shah, the attention and the care she's giving to the kids is exceptional, thanks for everything you have done for my boy and for us, we'll never forget you ❤️❤️❤️

Our daughter has been looked after Shah for almost a year now and we are so happy we went for her. She is so warm and caring. Our daughter has severe allergies, and Shah has taken this very seriously and we have had no issues.
Our little girl is so excited every time we go to Shah’s and she leaves happy every single time! She is really keen to support Childrens’ development and I feel it has been so great for our daughter to go there.

Shah Masuda is an excellent childminder . My daughter started when she was 18 months old and it’s been almost 9 months and Tasmia has settled well . I highly recommend her. My daughter is well cared for . She’s growing well physically and mentally thanks to Shah Masuda. Very happy with the care provided .

I found Sha on this website. My worry was that my child would be very unsociable after endless lockdowns and not seeing other people. Sha was very caring with my child, she listened to my concerns and we took our time to adapt my child to the new setting. She was very patient and she found the connection with the kid. Actually, he started listening to her and got used to the routine. I don't know how she did it but my child was sleeping at hers every day - something that we struggled with at home. My child was always cleaned, well fed and taken care about. I could leave him with Sha and not to worry about his wellbeing. Also due to Covid Sha had an enhanced cleaning routine with plenty of wiping and mopping which was great.
I would recommend Sha as a childminder.

Shah provided emergency childcare for our son whilst his regular nanny was on leave. She took him on at short notice and provided excellent care. He was not on great form that week, but Shah dealt with him with great care and attention and provided us with regular updates. Recommend.

Shah has taken care of my little girl since she was 7 months old. She is fantastic with kids, kind, gentle, patient and understanding. Her playroom is well equipped with a wide range of toys and activities - Shah has always sent pictures of my child playing, but, my daughter is now old enough to tell me that she has had fun! Her home is always spotless and her handover helpful.
Shah doesn’t offer a big nursery setting, it’s a home from home environment, but she is great at encouraging the children to play with one another. I don’t know how she has done it but she even has my (stubborn) little one taking turns! Her experience as a minder is invaluable.
Im really thankful that Shah has built such a good relationship with my daughter. She can make her laugh, comfort her, and has encouraged her confidence.
As her setting is small, our care has rarely been interrupted by covid, which as a busy, working mom has been so important to me.
I’d happily recommend Shah as a minder, finding her made my returning to work a lot easier, as I know my little girl is well cared for

It was more than enough you could have wrote about me and I feel very grateful for that.
Shah Masuda has been looking after our 2 children (now aged 6 and 3) since they were 2 and 18 months respectively.
I visited many childminders before meeting her, but as soon as I stepped into her welcoming home it just felt right. She is very understanding, patient and experienced and it really shows.
Shah is very professional, reliable and caring. My son was very energetic and she managed to help him into a healthy routine and provide lots of activities to keep him occupied. She was very affectionate and loving towards both of my children which helped them with being comfortable in her company.
Shah now provides ad hoc childcare as the children are now at school, she is always happy to flexibly accommodate me when I need and have a chat about what they have been up to that day.
I would highly recommend Shah to anybody who is looking for a warm reliable flexible childminder who genuinely cares about the welfare of children and parents too!
