About Me
I am an Outstanding, OFSTED registered childminder, working in Great Ashby, Stevenage. I have been a childminder for over 8 years, and am passionate about children's learning, health and welfare. I find children fascinating. I received an outcome of Outstanding for my last OFSTED inspection and work alongside my mother, who also received Ooutstanding for her last two inspections.
I graduated in 2014 from The Open University, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Years, for which I studied for 5 years whilst working full time, meaning that I am highly educated in The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), the development, learning and needs of children from Birth to 5 years, including children who may require additional support or have additional or special needs.
I am fully insured by PACEY and am First Aid and Food Hygiene trained. I attend all available training available to me that will enable me to provide an inclusive service.
My Experience
I have been working in London for the last 8 years as a childminder, at my mother's home, but have recently relocated my business to Stevenage in my home.
During my time working in London, I had the privilege of working with many children from many different backgrounds, religions, beliefs and cultures, with many different needs and abilities, enabling me to provide a culturally diverse setting, in which both the children and the parents/carers felt welcome and comfortable.
In my experience, I have discovered that my service is not just a provision for the child in my care, but for the whole family. Whilst it may seem to the parents that it's a big change for their children, it is an even bigger change for the parents themselves. I am always here for the parents as well, who are welcome to call any time of the day should they feel they want a little reassurance.
My Qualifications
My highest qualification to date is a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Years.
Before that i achieved a Level 4 Certificate in Early Years Practice,
an NVQ level 3 in Children's Care Learning and Development (CCLD3),
and I have 10 GCSEs A-C.
My Availability
I am generally available from 7:30 am until 6:00pm Monday to Friday, although I am able to be flexible with these times to suit shift workers or commuters.
