About Me
My name is Dian, and I am an OFSTED-registered childminder dedicated to providing high-quality care and helping children thrive. I am passionate about supporting every child to achieve their goals, build confidence, and reach their full potential in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
Alongside my childminding, I am training as a paediatric nurse, which strengthens my knowledge and expertise in children’s health, safety, and overall well-being. My background in midwifery has also given me a solid foundation in child and maternal care, which further enhances the quality of support I provide to families.
I am a proud mother to my son, Demario, who is now at university. He has always been energetic, caring, and supportive, and during his younger years he enjoyed interacting with other children and often took on the role of a “big brother,” helping to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. His journey reflects the nurturing and supportive environment I strive to provide for all children in my care.
My Experience
With over 18 years of experience working with children, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my role. I have worked in nurseries, primary schools, and as a special educational needs (SEN) learning educator. I also have international experience, having travelled to various countries to support children’s needs and development across different cultural settings.
Before establishing my childcare career, I proudly served in the army for several years. My time in the military strengthened my resilience, discipline, and commitment — qualities that continue to shape my professional practice today.
In addition, I have successfully managed my own childcare setting for more than a decade, giving me a deep understanding of how to provide consistent, tailored care for children of all ages and abilities.
