"Summer House Wimbledon" is a small home-based childcare setting. We specialise in providing a fun, relaxed and loving creche in a beautiful setting for little ones ranging in age from 9 months to 3 years in the Wimbledon Park / Southfields area. The vast majority of our parents find us by word of mouth and recommendations from current and past parents and so we are very often completely full! We are a two minute walk from Wimbledon Park tube.
We have been registered with OFSTED since 2010 and our team are all experienced Early Years Professionals, nannies and teachers.
Summer House Wimbledon was established in February 2010 by the owner / manager, Michelle Crosby who qualified as an Early Years Teacher (EYT) in 2014.
To make an enquiry please let us know the age of your child, the approximate number of days you require and the likely month that you will need a place and we will respond to emails as soon as we can. Sometimes we have many enquiries and so we will prioritise those enquiring about places which are arising this summer 2025 and then for enquiries for 2026, we will endeavour to respond within 7 days.

My Experience
I have been a registered childminder since August 2010 and completed my training to become an Early Years Teacher in 2014. My assistants and I are all qualified Early Years Professionals, Primary School Teachers and experienced nannies.
My Qualifications
BSc Hons - 1993, 4 A-levels - 1989, 10 O-Levels - 1987. Previous career as a Chartered Surveyor. Most relevant qualification is as an Early Years Teacher - 2014.
Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, Food Hygiene - for all the Summer House team are kept up to date every 3 years.
Michelle Crosby completed training at Kingston University in 2014 to become an Early Years Teacher which is a Level 6 certificate in Early Years (the highest level attainable in Early Years).

My Fees
- Childminding from £11.05 per hour
Full Day Care - 5 days per week = £116 per day
Full Day Care - 4 days per week = £119 per day
Full Day Care - 3 days per week = £121 per day
Full Day Care - 1 or 2 days per week = £123 per day
Fees are inclusive of freshly cooked breakfast, lunch, dinner, morning and afternoon snacks and nappies.
