My Summary

My Experience

Whilst at school and college i completed work experience placements in nurseries, from my last work experience i was offered a full time position.

I have a GNVQ Intermediate Health and Social care, which i completed before starting work at nursery full time.

Whilst at the nursery i completed my NVQ level 2 in childcare, i also gained experience of the early years curriculum, becoming the room supervisor for 2 rooms which were for children age 1-2 and 2-3.

During this time i completed reports and parents evenings, i was incharge of creating activities which were stimulating and fun for the appropriate age groups.

Whilst at the nursery i gained experience of working with children aged 6 months to 5 years, giving me good understanding of the needs of childrens from different age groups.

I worked at the nursery for a total of 3 1/2 years.

After the nursery i was offered the position as a full time sole charge nanny.

I cared for a 3 yr old and also a 9 month old, daily 8am-6pm.

I enjoyed doing creative craft activities with the children as well as baking.

I also arranged play dates for the children, i feel that social interaction is very important for childrens self esteem and confidence.

Whilst i was nannying the children and i went out on various fun outings including, swimming, museums, cycling, open top bus tours of London, london eye, aquarium, playgyms, and even a bear hunt in the woods !!!.

I carried out a few household duties for the children, including; the childrens washing and ironing, ensuring that uniform was neat and tidy for the next day, making sure their bedrooms are clean and tidy, changing their bedding, tidying the play room and after preparing meals ensuring the kitchen was left clean and tidy, also informing the parents if the children were in need of some new clothes.

I was with this family or nearly 4 years.

whilst working for this family i gained my NVQ Level 3 Childcare and Education.

I was then employed as a sole charge nanny of 2 children, 3 and 1, working wed - friday, 8am-6pm.

As with my previous job i take the children on outings and provide activities for them, i also carry out nursery duties.

I love to cook from scratch and enjoy preparing healthy nutritious meals from scratch with good fresh ingredients, a favorite of the children's is my cottage pie ! ( if only they knew the amount of veg in it ! ).

I am currently working at a private school pre-school, I have been in this position for 18months now and have gained a very good understanding of the EYFS, I have really missed being a sole charge nanny and the close relationship you build with the children and families.

My Fees

• Nannying from £12.00 per hour (net)

I am looking for £17 gross per hour
