The best childminders around

My girl started at Paula’s when she was 1 years old and is now 4. She came from a bad experience elsewhere which was explained to Paula and from day one my girl just settled so well, no tears or fear just pure happiness.

Paula and Heather both have very kind souls and this is what the children pick up on and learn from. My girl had a severe speech delay and both worked with me and her to communicate and learn. She will now be starting school in September and I have no fear that she won’t fit in as she can now talk and I really do believe the help at this childminders has been above and beyond.

They go on fun days out as well as group learning activities at the setting. There is clear communication about what activities the children have done as well as photos and WhatsApp communities.

My girl is always super excited for her day ahead with Paula and Heather and we will truly miss them when we leave this year for big school.

Trusted and Loving Childcare

Our son has been attending Paula’s Playhouse since he was 7 months old, and now at age 3, we couldn’t be happier with the care, love, and support he continues to receive. From the very beginning, Paula created a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where our son has absolutely thrived. It’s been incredible to watch him grow in confidence, social skills, and independence over the years, all thanks to her consistent, child-centred approach. She goes above and beyond to plan age-appropriate activities that support his learning and development—from sensory play as a baby to creative arts, and outdoor adventures. We receive regular updates, photos and know he’s happy and in safe hands. As working parents, having someone we trust so deeply means everything & grateful for the lasting impact she’s had on our son’s early years and are looking forward to the impact she’ll have on our daughter who is joining her setting. Highly recommend!

A fantastic setting :D

Paula has offered no end of support to our family with our first child and we are planning to send our new baby to her too. Paula offers a stimulating environment in her own home with a huge variety of activities whilst also taking the children in her care to groups and on days out. Paula is professional, has high standards and offers thorough communication home.

Highly recommended.

Having found Paula using this website my 2 yr old has been at the Playhouse for over a year now. I am very happy with the care Paula gives him - she always goes above and beyond to accommodate our needs.
At the Playhouse they are always well stimulated in a safe and caring environment as well as going on outings to the local farm, toddler groups, soft play etc.
I never worry about my son when I am at work as I know he is safe hands and he is always very happy when I collect him.
I would highly recommend using Paula's Playhouse.

Highly recommended!

I was lucky enough to have Paula as my childminder for my son, who was 2 years old at the time. "Paula's Playhouse" is a great environment for any child of all ages. Paula creates a home from home as her setting, makes it fun, is very professional and cooked lovely home cooked meals. My son loved going there and it was always a very clean environment with a full agenda of activities. She does plenty of arts and crafts with the children and happily takes the children out to local organised soft play groups etc.
Great with medical advice and general tips on childcare. Paula genuinely loves her job and was always full of energy and ready for the daily challenging of childminding. I would highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a new childcare provider.
