CURRENTLY HAVE TUESDAY AND FRIDAY SPACE AVAILABLE.
My name is Jo Garbett. I live with my husband Matt and 3 children. Lily was born in 2006, Austin 2011, Calum 2016.
I have been working with children since 1998. Before starting out as a childminder, I was a private sole charge Nanny, working with children from new-born to 16 years old. When my final nanny job came to a natural close after 14 years with the same family, I decided to become a childminder. This way I can offer help at affordable rates to local families wishing to return to work and provide a safe and fun environment for their child/children.
About the setting
The children will have use of the following rooms:
• Playroom- this is the main playroom which has all the toys, books and exciting things
• Lounge- children will have use of this room for TV, quiet time when others are sleeping
• Kitchen- where arts and crafts take place, as well as baking and meal times!
• Garden- the garden is fully secure and usable all year round with many outdoor toys to use and explore.
• Bedroom- there is space for any child to have a sleep if required. There is a travel cot for younger children and airbeds for the older children who require sleep.
Outings
I shall take your children to local playgroups/classes etc. the cost of these will be included in the fees. Certain activities with higher entrance fees will incur an additional charge, however I shall notify you and seek permission before hand.
Holidays
I will take 4 weeks holiday a year plus bank holidays. If you should take holiday, then the full amount must still be paid, this also applies if you take your child out for a single day. I will give you at least 4 weeks’ notice should I wish to take any holiday.
Sickness
If your child is unwell, full fees will still be charged. If I am sick I will not charge.
Payment
Payments are to be made in advance. payments can be made by cash or preferably bank transfer. First invoice will be given before start date, thereafter you will receive it on the 28th of the month, for payment to be received by the 1st of the month. If payment is late, there is a £5 daily charge.
What you will need to provide
• A change of clothes in a small rucksack
• Sun cream/sun hat
• Appropriate footwear
• Hats/gloves/scarf in cold weather
• Baby formula/bottles
• Comfort toy/blanket
• Medication if required
• Anything else you think your child may require
• Packed lunch
Please can items be labelled.

• Hot meal for dinner

• Cups/beakers/plates/cutlery
• Pushchair
• Highchair/booster for the table

• Travel cot

My Availability
Monday to Friday 8am-5.30pm.
I can be flexible with these times, within reason.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
my hourly rate is £6.50ph
This will include breakfast (before 8am), a hot meal and snacks. Also days out, Certain activities with higher entrance fees will incur an additional charge, however I shall notify you and seek permission before hand.
My Local Schools
This childminder has not yet informed us whether or not they provide any drop off or pick up services at local schools.
