I am a qualified special needs primary school teacher. I have 2 gorgeous boys, Alex (19) and Ben (15). Both boys love to have fun playing board games, going on bike/scooter rides, arts and crafts (Ben not so much) and generally just being around people socialising.
My Experience
My experience as a nanny started 20 years ago to three adorable American girls. They were just 3, 5 and 8 years old when I joined them and they have now all turned into beautiful and very successful young ladies. They unfortunately returned back to the states 7 years ago but I am still very close with them all and have yearly trips to visit them. I was with this family throughout all of my teacher training degree and on weekends when I started my first teaching job.
I have been a primary school teacher for 12 years and have experienced reception, years 1,2 and 3.
I have extensive experience with special needs, including children with sensory processing disorder, autism and pathological demand avoidance. I am trained in providing a sensory diet to children to ensure their anxiety levels stay low throughout the day and I am trained to a basic level of Makaton. I have used PEC’s in my most recent position which I have found incredibly successful in progressing the child’s communication skills.
