About Me
Hi
My name is Michaela Priddy and I am a childminder in Selby and am fully OFSTED registered and inspected. I have over 34 years childcare experience including working as a nanny, in a private nursery, as a childminder and more importantly as a mum and now Grandma.
I have been rated a GOOD childminding setting from OFSTED in January 2022.
I live with my husband Andy and have three daughters, Alice,Hannah and Grace and three grandchildren.
We have a chocolate labrador (Maverick) as well two cats (Jester and Juno)
I offer a home from home environment and am commited to providing the best outcomes for all children. I achieve this through ensuring the enviroment is stimulating, safe and fun! I have a range of toys and resources, for both indoor and outdoor play. Lots of trips to local woods, library, parks, soft play areas and toddler groups.
My Experience
After finishing high school I went to college to study nursery nursing (N.N.E.B)
I then became a live -in nanny looking after two children for over four years.
After I married I worked in a private day nursery in York rising from a nursery assistant to head of the baby room and deputy manager of the nursery.
I stayed there for nearly five years, but after the birth of my second child I decided to get a job nearer home and less hours. For the next four years I worked part time in a nursery attached to Selby college, and I also gave birth to my third child. When she was two I decided to became a childminder in 2000.
