I live in Marple Stockport with my husband and our two daughters. We have a dog.
As a family we enjoy going out for dog walks, having trips out and being with our family and friends.
My hobbies are art, fashion, food and film.
My Experience
Since leaving school I have always worked with children. I studied childcare at level 2 and progressed to level 3.
I have been working with children for 20 years and been a Nanny for 17 years. I have worked in other childcare settings such as Day Nurseries, School Nurseries and Primary Schools. I decided to be a Nanny above the other childcare options because I love the one to one care, working directly with parents, supporting and advising them. For me, seeing a child learn and develop is the most rewarding part of my job, knowing I have supported that child and helped them reach their full potential in life.
I have experience from newborn to School age. As well as caring for my own babies, I looked after a baby who was just 4 days old at the time and did maternity nursing. I currently work with a 10 year old boy before and after school and during school holidays. We have so much fun, going to museums, art galleries, soft play centres, cinemas, garden centres and much more. I complete homework with him too.
I have experience working with children with ADHD, autism and celebral palsey. I made sure all the children were supported to the highest standard. I found it very rewarding supporting these children and helping them, for example, completing physiotherapy with the child and supporting parents through statement procedure.
On a daily bases I provide age appropriate activities to promote learning and development. The activities include painting, craft, baking, drawing, writing and numbers work.

Mary cared for my daughter from the age of 11 months to pre-school age (to July 2021), and she has flourished from Mary's one to one attention. Mary was always professional, had my daughter's needs as her first priority; and provided stimulating, educational activities. She was also unphased by the prospect of looking after three children in the holidays from time to time, and my 8 year old boys looked forward to being with her. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.
