Maya was 12 months old when Andree started to look after her. As a first time mum I was terrified and remember messaging Andree every hour during the first day to ask how Maya was. Andree sent me pictures and reassured me every step of the way which I was extremely thankful for. I have complete trust and confidence in her.

Andree is experienced, extremely professional, consistent, trustworthy and treats children in her care as they were her own. My daughter has lots of fun and talks about Andree and her family all the time. Andree gives detailed feedback every day when I pick up Maya and will let me know of any concerns (if any) during the day. As an experienced mum herself, Andree gives good tips and advice which I have always appreciated.

Contrary to the feedback below, Andree has always been a good communicator with us. If I ask for a picture to see my little girl Andree is happy to send me one or 4! And we get loads of pictures every month that have nothing to do with payments.

Maya is very happy in Andree’s care and is excited about going to Andree’s every morning. I know Maya is looked after well and loved which is what every mum and dad is looking for in a childminder. Maya has achieved all her milestones, which I was slightly worried about as she is bi-lingual, and it is truly noticeable how much she learns in Andree’s care.

As we are moving away, we had to find a nursery closer to our new home and I am saddened about taking Maya away from Andree’s care. I got emotional when I told Andree our new arrangements and feel a little nervous about whether Maya will adapt to nursery as well as she did with Andree. No doubt Maya will be asking for Andree when nursery starts. I hope we can swing by sometimes or go to a park together as I know this would make Maya very happy.

I cannot recommend Andree more. She provides your child a home away from home.

An absolutely amazing experience

Andree has looked after my child, Chloelle, since she was 3 weeks old when I found myself in desperate need of support under exceptional circumstances. She remains with Andree until this day. I chose Andree as I wanted a very experienced childminder and one I could trust to leave such a small baby with. From the moment I met Andree I had every confidence in her ability. As I hold a very responsible management role, I needed reliability and Andree has never ever faltered in this respect. She has similar values to me and so was a brilliant match as I regard her in being my partner in bringing up Chloelle.

In complete contradiction to the last review posted on this site, I cannot express how happy I am with our arrangement. Chloelle has achieved all of her milestones with Andree. She is extremely forward in her cognitive ability, talking, comprehension etc and I put that as much down to the care she has received as much as my own input. I know the educational element of Andree's care is exceptional because what Chloelle learns is relayed by her to me and I recognise that Chloelle knows things I have never taught her.

Chloelle is so well cared for, I always receive photos which are precious given I don't see her every day I'm at work and I would confirm these are not charged for!

Andree has always been tolerant and patient of me as a parent understanding the distance from my workplace and my own personal circumstances. She is a saviour to me at time of great need and has wonderful not just with Chloelle but to me and my family as well. Andree will let me know of any concerns with Chloelle and I would expect her to do that. I trust her judgement and by talking we ensure we both mirror each other in the way we care for Chloelle.

For anyone reading this review, Chloelle was eligible to go to nursery from two years old but I have chosen for her to stay with Andree where she is settled, happy and loved. It will be a wrench for me to move her when she goes to pre-school next September.

If you looking for a childminder who is extremely organised, offers a proper routine, supports good discipline and promotes high values, learning and education and of course lots of love and cuddles then I cannot recommend Andree enough.

Not for our son...

Andree looked after our Son during my return back to full time working. It was a struggle trying to find a decent child minder in the area. When we first met Andree seemed professional and we loved that she has a dog and family home environment, this being said Andree didn’t show me any further than her front room. I wasn’t shown where my son would be sleeping neither was I shown her garden (I assumed/expect that’s where the children would play?). Andree, I feel, has an old fashioned approach to minding. She comes across quite strict and after a while we discovered our little
Boy just wasn’t enjoying himself. He is used to being in a fun loving environment and it was heart breaking watching him sob his heart out every time we dropped and picked him up. My partner seemed to have nice conversation with Andree but whenever I saw her it seemed quite cold, not much updates given, I remember on my first day not one message of reassurance was sent and I was so scared about how he was getting on... Andree also only sends pictures to you if you send her the money. Fair enough but it just made me feel like it’s just a business to her, there’s no love for the child and warmth...
Our son, at the time was around 15/16 months old and getting used to using a spoon. We were told by Andree that he should really be using it by now and that it isn’t right... I mentioned that he’s trying his best and he is showing the correct signs so I have no concerns but Andree continued to comment on it... at no point did Andree explain how she was helping him to do this, it was as if she was looking at myself and my partner and questioning us and our parenting like we are not helping him? It made me awfully upset and this wasn’t the only time it had happened.
I would pick my son up multiple times with ruined clothes even when I have provided Andree with spare clothing to change. Neither did it look like there had been any attempts to clean the stained clothes. This has lead to multiple items of clothing being ruined.
We also used to have a lovely jogging buggy, Andree said she wouldn’t keep it in her house as it was too big and said it would be left outside, we had no choice to buy something which would suit us all... I could go on but I just wanted to put down the main issues we’ve had. I also want to reiterate that since going to Nursery and leaving Andree, our son is so much happier and is excelling in his learning. Andree is a lovely person, and we wish we all the best. We just feel she is set in her ways and isn’t suited to our son and our style of parenting.
