About Me
I have been working with children for nearly 20 years and find it incredibly rewarding. I have worked in various childcare settings prior to being a nanny. As a nanny I have been with the same family for the last 11 years which I left in January 2026. We were very close but with the children now being teenagers it was time to say goodbye, we have remained in touch and I visit them whenever I can.
I live in St Albans with my partner and our son who is now at primary school. After taking some time out to complete a certificate in creative writing, I am now looking for some part-time-temporary work while I find my creative feet. I am very passionate about helping new parents settle in and equally with older children/siblings. After completing a teaching course in Hypnobirthing in 2021, I also feel very strongly about the emotional support a new mother needs and would love to help with light housework, general life admin, infant care and provide a friendly face who can make that transition a little bit easier.
My Experience
In the St. Albans area, I have experience working in primary schools, day care centers, and private nurseries.
In Leeds, whilst attending university, I worked at a pre-school and helped set up a mother and toddler group for a deprived area, as well as babysitting for a local family.
I have completed a teaching course in Hypnobirthing.
My Qualifications
I have a CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education which I achieved at Oaklands College Smallford.
I have a BA(Hons) Playwork degree which I achieved at Leeds Metropolitan University
My Availability
I am now looking for part time opportunities preferably during school hours. I am flexible with discussing early mornings/after school hours on a part time basis and not every day. I can also babysit every now an then at a separate cost.
My Fees
- Nannying from £18.00 per hour (gross)
My nanny rates start from £18 per hour gross during school?hour daytime sessions.
For newborn care, gentle emotional support for new mothers, and light household help, my rate is £20–£22 per hour gross depending on the level of care needed.
I also offer occasional babysitting at a separate rate.
