About Me
My name is Jo. Although in my early 60s, I still have bags of energy and enthusiasm. I have spent my entire adult life working with children. In fact my family and friends have nick-named me 'Mary Poppins' ! I have a very positive outlook on life and believe that everything happens for a reason. I care passionately about the happiness, welfare and education of young children. My personal interests are music, singing, reading, walking and dance.
My Experience
On leaving school I trained as an NNEB. I worked as a maternity nursing assistant for 12 years. I raised two children of my own, who I am proud to say are now grown up and post graduates themselves. I took early retirement from full time Primary School teaching after 21 years and have continued to teach part-time since then. I am now looking forward to beginning a new and exciting venture in life. One that gives me the opportunity to continue to develop and nurture children but this time in a home environment.
