Exceptional loving childcare

We couldn’t recommend Showmi and her setting highly enough. Our son started attending when he was just 14 months old. He was a very anxious little boy who had never really stayed away from me and was not comfortable being looked after by anyone else. Showmi welcomed him with such confidence, warmth and reassurance, and within just a week, he was completely settled and happy in her care.

He is now 2 and a half, and we are so proud to see how much he has grown and developed under Showmi and Amama’s guidance. He is becoming such a gentle, kind and confident little boy, and we truly believe they have played a huge part in helping him become the person he is today.

As busy working parents, there are so many things we may not have had the time to teach him ourselves, but Showmi and Amama have supported him with so much patience and care. He now talks so well, is kind and considerate towards others, eats independently and is even potty trained!

We honestly can’t thank Showmi and Amama enough for everything they have done for our son. Their care, dedication and genuine love for the children is clear every day. We are incredibly grateful that we found them and feel so lucky to have had them be such an important part of our son’s early years.

A special thank you to Candy as well, who was always there to help when Amama was away.

Showmiya is a great childminder . She know how to get along with children. she taught my almost 3 year old son how to dress and undress , eat by himself , etc , all with patience . My son has also extended his english vocabulary. Im very satisfied with the food and clean environment. Thank u Showmiya

Warm, professional, excellent

Showmiya cared for our 9 month old for a few weeks. We had a great experience: they have a very nice setup for the kids, all the kids are happy, they brought AC when it was hot. Showmiya was very communicative and flexible, and helped with our baby’s naps. We will definitely recommend her to anyone!

A warm, caring and homely environment

Our daughter has been with Showmiya for alnost 3 months now, and we couldn't be happier with how things have gone.

From the very beginning, our daughter settled far more quickly than we ever expected. She has always been very attached to myself, her father and grandmother, so I was naturally quite anxious about how she would cope being away from us. To our surprise, she settled within just a few days and now genuinely looks forward to going each morning.

One of the things we love most is how warm and homely the setting feels. Having both Showmiya and Umama there creates a real family atmosphere, and I think that has played a huge part in helping her feel so comfortable and secure. It feels much more like an extension of home than a childcare setting, which has been wonderful for both my daughter and us as parents.

The bond she has formed with Showmiya and Umama has been lovely to see. She talks about them at home, is always excited to see them, and has clearly developed a strong sense of trust and security in their care.

We've seen her confidence and independence continue to grow since starting. She's learning new things all the time, her language is developing even further, and she's becoming more willing to do things for herself. We also love hearing about the activities she takes part in during the day.

One thing that has been particularly lovely this summer is seeing how much she has enjoyed the gardening activities. She comes home excitedly talking about the fruit and vegetables they are growing and loves spending time outside in the garden.

Most importantly, we have complete confidence in Showmiyas care. It's obvious how much she genuinely cares about the children and works hard to make sure they are happy, safe, and well looked after. As a parent, there is nothing more reassuring than knowing your child is somewhere they feel loved, secure, and excited to be.

We feel very fortunate to have found Showmiya and Umama and would happily recommend her to other families.

Home from home for our daughter

Our daughter has been going to Showmi’s for almost 18 months and we can’t speak highly enough of her. Showmi and Amama provide a loving, safe environment for children, and our daughter has an exceptionally close bond with them both.

Given that my wife and I work full time, Showmi has played a big role in our daughter’s development over the past year and a bit. She has gone from a baby to a fully-fledged little girl with excellent communication and understanding (sometimes too good), social confidence and lots of practical skills such as putting on her coat by herself, tidying away her shoes when she gets home and washing her hands after going to the potty. She is often coming home with new words and abilities which can only have come from Showmi!

The setting itself is a summer house (separate from the main house) which is spacious and well equipped with toys, books, and arts & crafts. My daughter gets a varied and well-balanced diet and for the time being even seems to like vegetables…

My wife and I would both highly recommend Showmi to any parents with young children.

Outstanding care for our daughter

My daughter has been with Showmiya since she turned one in Nov 2024 (she's now 27 months) and we couldn't be more pleased with the exceptional care she's received, and her development in the time she's been attending.

We love the 'home away from home' setting and the attention to detail provided. She loves attending, and always comes home so excited to tell us about her day (none of the ratty, overstimulated stories I hear from parent friends!)

She has learnt so much, from gross to fine motor skills, counting, recognising words and letters, and she has an exceptional vocabulary. She loves to draw and colour, and over summer she enjoyed helping out with the vege garden and being involved in the whole process.

We will all miss Showmiya & her Mum when we move overseas, but will be forever grateful for the outstanding care she had at such an important time in her life!

Lovely local family childcare setting

Our daughter has enjoyed two lovely years with Showmiya and Amama. It has been the perfect setting for her from 11 months old, like a second home with plenty of love and affection. She has a purpose built nursery room with individual little rooms for the children to sleep in - my daughter napped wonderfully there, even when it was a big struggle at home! She has eaten well and goes in every day with a smile to see her friends.
Showmiya has been very flexible and accommodating and I would highly recommend as a place for your baby/ young toddler to attend in central New Malden.

Great caring childminder

Showmiya is a great childminder. Our youngest now 2 is going to go to nursery. She was there since 10 months old. It was the perfect place for her to grow and become a toddler.
Showmiya has this wonderful set up with a separate building at the back of her garden like a mini nursery with the home feeling full of toys, and some outdoor space.
Showmiya works with her mother, which adds to the home feeling. We trusted our daughter to be well taken care of, eating healthy home cooked food and just happy to go there like a 2nd family.

Great option for my 2 year old

I had a last minute childcare need over the summer and was recommended Showmiya as a childminder for my 2 year old. I felt confident he was being looked after well and had a range of activities to enjoy during the day, as well as healthy home cooked food. He doesn't ever eat vegetables at home so that made me very happy! I also liked the comforting family environment she provides and I could see my son was happy there.

Highly recommended childminder

Showmi has provided exceptional care for our daughter. Lori has been going there since she was one and she has thrived. The setting is lovely, with each child having their own bedroom for nap time, child centred play areas (in/outdoor), a dining area and a perfect child friendly toilet and sink for potty training. Showmi and her mum Amama have provided a home from home experience for Lori. Her confidence has grown and she has learnt so much through the variety of play and educational tasks that Showmi organises for the children. Showmi provides a wide variety of food and snacks for the children. She has helped Lori potty train and weaning off the dummy. She is kind, caring and this is demonstrated through how happy the children are in her care. We will be really sad to leave Showmi and Amama as Lori adores them both. We are extremely grateful to Showmi and her family for the wonderful care they have provided for Lori for nearly 3 years, and the genuine love they feel for her.
