I am an experienced and dedicated childminder with over 37 years of providing a safe, caring, and nurturing environment for children of all ages. Based in the Redrow estate in Gartcosh, I offer a warm, home-from-home setting where children can learn, play, and grow with confidence. I currently provide school pick-ups from Gartcosh Primary School and Jigsaw Nursery, ensuring a reliable and supportive service for busy families. I pride myself on building strong relationships with both children and parents, encouraging development through fun, structured activities while maintaining a secure and welcoming atmosphere I am also close to other childminder and we meet up and go to groups etc together so the children can interact together.
My Experience
Working as a childminder has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I genuinely love every minute of it. Being part of children’s early development is incredibly special, and I take pride in creating a safe, happy, and nurturing environment where they can learn, grow, and feel valued.
Each day brings something new, whether it’s seeing a child achieve a milestone, building their confidence, or simply sharing laughter and fun activities together. I enjoy planning engaging experiences that support their learning while making sure they feel comfortable and cared for at all times.
What I value most is the strong relationships I build with both the children and their families. Trust and communication are at the heart of what I do, and it’s important to me that parents feel reassured knowing their child is in a loving and supportive setting.
Being a childminder isn’t just a job to me—it’s something I’m truly passionate about. The joy, energy, and honesty that children bring make every day meaningful, and I feel lucky to play such an important role in their lives.
My Qualifications
In addition to my work as a childminder, I am also a qualified swimming teacher, which is something I am equally passionate about. I teach swimming on a Thursday evening after work, and I really enjoy helping children build confidence in the water while learning an important life skill.
Teaching swimming allows me to support children in a different way, encouraging them to overcome fears, develop new abilities, and celebrate their progress. It’s incredibly rewarding to see them grow in confidence and enjoy themselves while staying safe in the water.
Having both roles complements my skills well, as they both focus on care, development, and creating a positive, supportive environment for children to thrive.

After a bad experience with a previous childminder my trust was broken. However Bev came highly recommended from a friend. Bev was warm and friendly from the start with my entire family not just my little boy. She takes an interest in my other older boys and often helps me navigate some of the challenges I’ve faced with them at school etc. She cares deeply for all the families in her care. Bev is like another home for our family when we call, text, drop off and pick up. Always available for a coffee and chat to offload the day. She is always out and about with the kids and her family treat all the children in her care like family too which melts my heart as my little one is a huge fan of granny witch lol. I am so glad we found Bev and her family as I now feel my child is loved and in perfect safety in her care.

No nonsense Auntie Bev will have your little cherubs behaving like angels within 2 weeks! Clear and consistent rules and each child is treated as an individual. She truly cares about your babies and helping you get them to the milestones.
It’s fun family home with lots to do. She gets them all playing and takes them out for the day. Eating, napping, toilet training, Bev is on hand with every step.
She’s had mine for 11 years and now it’s time for high school. I am gutted we have to leave, I don’t know what I’ll do without her, but forever grateful for the help and support in raising a well mannered, funny, and caring young man.

I seriously don't know where to begin.
We are not from this area and with having family over an hour away it was a massive deal to find not only a childminder that we trusted with our son, but someone that we got on with and that we felt fit the bill. We met Beverly and straight away my fiancé and I knew that we had found a keeper. Not only is she a fantastic person but she is so kind and loving towards the children that she looks after.
Our LO started going to Beverly at 10 months old and I honestly can not thank her enough for the support and love she has shown our Callum. When Callum is around children his own age, he tends to push his boundaries and try things that the bigger children are doing and that is all because of Beverly. His walking now turned to running was pushed by Beverly, eating on his own and his now independent character is all down to you.
I am absolutely gutted that due to family circumstances and ill health that we are moving back down closer to family and that we will lose you on a daily basis, but I can honestly say the next family that get's you are a lucky one. You have became a huge part of our family and we will always stay in touch.
Thank you for the time that we have had and the memories- you will always be a huge part of our family.
