About Me
My name is Jo and I am married and have three girls aged 22, 18, and 15 who all enjoy the company of other children. I am an OFSTED registered childminder living in East Greenwich.
I provide a warm, safe, welcoming and friendly environment and promote children's learning and development by organising and providing a variety of indoor activities such as painting, drawing, jigsaws, dressing-up, cooking and educational toys for children of all ages. Outdoor activities include trips to Greenwich Park for picnics/games (weather permitting), toy library, baby/toddler gyms, pop-in groups and Mudchute farm all of which are planned on a weekly basis. I also have a garden with outdoor equipment.
I promote healthy eating with my own children and would therefore offer a well balanced and nutritional diet but also respect parents/carers choices of meals.
I am a member of the National Childminding Association and I am committed to on-going training to further my knowledge.
My Experience
I have 18 years experience in childcare and I have also completed professional development in safeguarding children.
First aid trained, Full CRB cleared, ICP, Safeguarding and intermediate safeguarding Children, Epi-Pen Trained, Schemas Training

After feeling nursery was not a suitable option for our 9 month old daughter, we managed to find Jo and knew right away she was just what we were looking for. We wanted our baby to have more one on one care rather than being in a room of 20 or so other children and she absolutely thrived. Being with a couple of other children under Jo’s care was wonderful for her development and she left to go to nursery at 3 with so much confidence in herself and her abilities.
When pregnant with our second child, Jo was an obvious choice for us and as with our daughter, he has absolutely thrived in her loving, home environment.
Both were always so happy to be there, with plenty of stimulation, whether that was dancing, singing, messy crafts being in the garden or going to the park to feed the ducks. Learning all about bugs and having butterflies in the garden have all been amazing activities which have really shaped their personalities. Jo is great at ensuring the children also work on skills around developing independence and it’s always lovely to see them come home and do things they have learned whilst in Jo’s care.
We’ve loved having Jo as our childminder and would absolute recommend her services. Having someone you can trust to take the best care of your child is more important than anything as any parent knows, and we always felt we could trust Jo 100%. It’s a huge weight lifter when returning to work!

Our first son went to Jo’s from 6 months, we couldn’t have asked for a more loving environment for him, he always had a big smile on his face when we arrived at Jo’s in the morning and he was so settled and happy. Under Jo’s care his speech developed rapidly, and he loved outings to the big park and to messy crafts. Jo also does lots of fun home activities - introducing the children to different topics - using her famous colourful trays.
Jo also made our son feel like part of her family, and he got to know her children (who were always so kind to him) which we thought was really nice.
When our second son was born we were so pleased that Jo had space for him, and our experience has been the same. His big smiles when he see’s Jo in the morning and the obvious love she pours into the fun activities she does with him.

When we moved house from Fulham to Greenwich we were looking for childcare for our baby girl. It was wonderful to find Jo to look after her – we have been so happy with her care. Jo is very kind and caring – you can see that immediately.
Our baby girl loved to go there and sometimes she even wanted to stay longer to play - it was definitely a home away from home.
During this time Jo helped our baby girl achieve several milestones from crawling to walking, from babbling to talking and counting 1,2,3. She regularly takes them to the library and Greenwich Park, she also has a garden, and they play outdoors as well.
They also play indoors with different toys and do creative activities.
She provided us with a diary and wrote information about what they have eaten (always home cooked), nap times and what activities (indoor and outdoor) they have been doing during the day.
We have been very lucky to meet her – we won’t hesitate to recommend Jo to any other parents.
