Hi I'm Sophie,
I am a very down to earth, trustworthy individual. I always strive to work to the best of my ability.
I have been working part time as a nanny. I really enjoy looking after children. I have been babysitting for 10 years and have really enjoyed forming a bond with the kids.
I understand it takes hard work and consideration at all times. I really enjoy the reward for looking after children. I feel like this skill is something I could develop more. I would love the opportunity to build up more experience and am very willing to adapt to every childs need.
I am very outgoing and I work hard and like to keep organised and motivated at all times, I would love the opportunity to develop my skills with children.
My Experience
I have been babysitting, since the age of 15. Through the past 11 years, I feel I have built up a thorough understanding of how best to look after children. This has made me realise that I would like to do this as a job and I find it very rewarding. I feel I have a natural ability to speak and understand children. I am very patient, understanding and sensitive to each individual.
Through all my experience I feel, this has given me a real insight into what its like to look after children and how you must remain responsible, kind and caring at all times.
I have gradually built up the confidence and knowledge in understanding how to best look after each child.
During my last post as a nanny I was looking after 2 children, picking them up from school, helping with home work, cooking them supper, playing games with them and making sure they are happy in my care. Occasionally I babysat them. I really enjoyed this role. I have experience of looking after a 3month old baby, I looked after him until 9months. I really enjoyed this role, I found it so rewarding seeing how much they change and develop at a young age. My duties were, changing his nappy, rocking him to sleep, playing with him and generally making sure he was happy in my care.
I have now gained experience of looking after a baby, 3year old, 5 -10year old and then babysit teenage years.
My Qualifications
BA Creative Musicianship -First year.
Higher national diploma in music.
BTEC National Diploma Performing Arts Musical Theatre. Triple Distinction
GCSES - B,B,B,B,C,C.
Current DBS Check
My Availability
I am currently available 1-2 days a week and occasionally available for evenings.
I am also available to babysit on the weekends if needed.
Just to clarify, I can work up to a maximum of 4-5 hours during the day.
For babysitting I can work a maximum of 6 -7 hours at night.

Sophie is warm and friendly and really interested in child development. We all warmed to her instantly. She is fun musical and creative and our son loves playing with her. She is reliable and easy to communicate with.
Any family would be lucky to have Sophie spend time with their little ones.

Sophie has looked after my baby at my home for several months now, since he was about 3 months old. She is very calm, gentle and kind, perfect for tiny ones. She is also very musical, which my son loves! Sophie has bonded so well with him and he with her, and I really feel we have been a partnership which is what you need when caring for small children. She listens to our requirements and is confident to ask if she isn’t sure rather than just carry on. I feel reassured that he’s very loved and cared for when he’s with Sophie and I would recommend her to other parents looking for a trustworthy person to look after their most precious bundle!

Overall
The perfect sitter for us. On time, friendly but most importantly great for my 2 girls who instantly wanted her to sit for them. She has a really nice nature which put us at ease knowing she would be kind and caring for our children. Sophie is the type of person to get involved by listening and interacting as this was something I wanted and she excels at. My kids are performers and singers which made Sophie the ideal match knowing her background was in performing arts. The girls keep asking when she'll sit again. Highly recommended.
