Full-Time Nanny (Private Family – Live Out)

Provided full-time care for children within a private family home, ensuring a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment. Planned and carried out age-appropriate activities to support development and learning. Supported daily routines including meals, naps, outings and play-based learning. Built strong relationships with parents through clear communication and updates on children’s wellbeing and development. Managed responsibilities independently while maintaining a high standard of care.

Childcare Practitioner – Little Blossoms Nursery
December 2020 – 2023
Worked within the baby room providing care for infants and supporting their early development. Planned and implemented age-appropriate activities while ensuring each baby’s individual routines were followed. Maintained accurate paperwork and observations for the children in line with EYFS guidelines. Communicated regularly with parents and worked with colleagues and external agencies to ensure children received the best possible care. Developed a strong understanding of safeguarding and child development.

Childcare Practitioner – Explorosity Day Nursery
June 2020 – December 2020
Worked full time in a fast-paced nursery environment caring for children aged 14 months to 36 months. Followed nursery policies and procedures while completing observations and maintaining up-to-date records. Adapted to working across different rooms when required to cover staff holidays and breaks, supporting children of varying ages. Developed strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Childcare Practitioner – Ladybirds Preschool
2016 – 2020
Worked with children aged 2–4 years and acted as a key person for up to 10 children. Responsible for completing EYFS observations, planning activities to support development, and maintaining communication with parents. Supported children’s social, emotional and personal development, including personal hygiene and daily routines. Also worked in the before and after school club supporting children aged 2–10 with activities and care. Began this role as a Level 2 apprentice and progressed to achieve a Level 3 qualification.

Baby Room Experience – Little Stars Nursery (Voluntary Placement)
Completed during Level 3 qualification
Volunteered in the baby room supporting infants with daily routines and development. Assisted with feeding, weaning, settling babies for naps, and providing comfort and care throughout the day.

Part-Time Nanny (Private Family)
2015 – 2018
Provided part-time care for a child from 5 months old until the age of 2. Had sole responsibility during mornings, evenings and weekends. Planned outings and activities and supported the child’s daily routine. The child had severe allergies which gave me valuable experience managing dietary requirements and maintaining a safe environment.

Volunteering
Volunteered at a local nursery supporting staff and children during activities. Also assist at my grandmother’s NSPCC charity group events where I help with hospitality and event support.
