Hi, I’m Fabiana. I offer professional, home-based childcare in Stevenage, Old Town, providing a safe, nurturing, and welcoming environment where children can learn, play, and develop with confidence.
As both a parent (of one happy little girl) and an experienced childcare professional, I understand the importance of reliable, high-quality care. After moving from London and facing the challenges of finding the right childcare for my own child, I decided to open my own childminding setting to offer families a happy and supportive option locally.
My setting offers:
-Spacious home and large garden for indoor and outdoor play
-Access to an allotment for nature-based learning and growing fruit and vegetables
-Close to local playgrounds and playgroups
-Activities support learning, independence, and confidence
-Outdoor learning and nature exploration through gardening, seasonal projects, and sensory play
-Healthy, homemade snacks and fresh fruit daily (parents provide lunch)
-Safety is a priority with secure areas and clear safeguarding procedures
-Strong communication — regular updates for parents via TeachKloud and/or directly in person.

My Experience
I’ve worked as a high-profile nanny in London for over 17 years, caring for children from birth through adolescence. I always maintain professionalism and confidentiality while building strong, trusting relationships with families. Children often describe me as kind, funny, and creative. I’ve worked long-term with families and love keeping in touch even after I’ve moved on.
Alongside childminding, I also mentor and train childcare professionals, helping them feel confident, professional, and supported in their roles. I work closely with parents too, helping make the transition back to work easier and matching families with the right nanny for their needs. I’ve trained over 150 nannies across the UK, offering online and in-class courses in partnership with a paramedic to provide practical, hands-on guidance. Everything I do is focused on what matters most — making sure children’s early years are happy, safe, and full of learning and fun.

We feel incredibly lucky to have found such a wonderful childminder. Fabiana has been looking after our son for around 8 months, and from the very beginning she has been absolutely brilliant.
Our son genuinely loves going to her setting, which says everything. Fabi creates a warm, nurturing environment where children feel safe, happy, and excited to learn. Every day is filled with creative ideas and fun, engaging activities that keep the children stimulated and developing in so many ways.
We particularly appreciate how much time they spend outdoors, whether that’s playing in the garden or going on trips to the park. It’s clear that she values fresh air, exploration, and active play, which has been fantastic for our son.
She has also been a huge support in helping with his emotional development. She offers thoughtful guidance on navigating friendships, sharing, and understanding emotions, which has made a real difference to his confidence and social skills.
We couldn’t recommend her highly enough. She is caring, dedicated, and truly goes above and beyond for the children in her care.

My daughter has been in Fabiana's setting for 8 months now and she loves going. She talks about Fabi and the other kids when away from the setting for a few days on holidays. Fabiana encourages play outside, has wonderful educational activities organised and makes delicious snacks for the kids. I took the time to find a great childminder and I am so happy we found Fabiana, she is truly the most well rounded childminder you could find.

My daughter has been with Fabiana for nearly 1 year. She has been an absolute blessing for our family. Fabiana is genuinely caring, completely trustworthy and creates such a safe and loving environment. Every day our daughter comes home excited to share what they’ve learned — from new words to creative activities, she cannot wait to go back the next day. Her honesty and professionalism give us total peace of mind. We couldn’t ask for anyone better.

Fabi has been looking after our daughter for close to 10 years ever since she was a baby.
She is the most wonderful nanny, trustworthy, caring, always in a good mood and creative. She never runs out of fun activities to do. At the same time, she is extremely professional and knows how to adapt to all ages. She is very organised and plans the day, meals and activities, including creative, sport and social ones.
Our daughter just loves her! We could not have done without her.
I can’t recommend her enough .

Fabiana is a wonderful nanny who I trust 100% with my daughter.
She's incredibly fun, kind, organised and caring. She has a natural instinct when it comes to looking after children. She organises fun activities (eg: picnic in the park, crafts, making a cardboard house, playdates). She gives cuddles whenever needed, but also disciplines gently but effectively- like a parent would. She plans the week ahead and cooks really well too. You can tell she genuinely cares about the children she looks after. She has a big smile, warm heart and is someone I trust completely in my home and with my daughter- a true gem!
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.

If I could hire Fabiana full-time, I would. She's smart, responsible and real. Always incredibly thoughtful and kind to children and adults! She has a special gift and love for children. I engage her services for my son whenever I can -- he adores her and I feel that he is in very good hands in her care. Plus she's calm, cool and collected when the wee ones act up -- always seems to know just what to do gently, and almost effortlessly.

Fabiana or "Babi" as our little girl call her, was our best choice of babysitter we had so far!
Leaving our girl with someone we didn't know should have being the hardest thing in the word, but "Babi" reassured me and comforted us!
We are so blessed to have her in our life!
She is so arty and crafty has involvement in local groups ,baking and play time,also, the most important for us, she is fun, caring ,trustworthy and warm person.
We don't have her as a Babysitter but as a member of our family!
We'd recommend her to anyone and everyone!
Thank you Babi for everything you have being done to us, we cant recommend you highly enough.
