I am an honest, reliable and fun loving nanny/childcare.
I am currently on maternity leave from a nursery.
I am ideally looking for a position that is open to me bringing my son along with me, so either a family with a similar aged child so the children will have the social interaction whilst being cared for in their own home or a family with school aged children who will need fewer hours. - As I have family around I do not anticipate my son needing to come along full time as family will be happy to have him whilst I work, however this has not been discussed in detail.
My last nanny position ended in December 2022, I was there just over a year and cared for twin boys who were just over 2 years on my leaving. This position ended due to the mum reducing her working hours.
I have a level 3 cache diploma in Childcare and Education, along side study for this I also gained 2 credits at level 2 in Makaton for parents and carers (a form of communication using speech signs and symbols)
Before completing my childcare course I also achieved AS levels in Law and Psychology, but during that year realised my real love was for children, looking after them and watching them grow and develop.
I qualified as a massage therapist and I plan to add both baby and pregnancy massage to my skills when I get the opportunity.
In my spare time I love to spend time with family and friends. As well as taking younger family members out on trips to parks, zoos and theme parks.
I enjoy me time where I can just chill out and spend time by myself, I usually read during these times. I enjoy most sports and am a Brentford FC season ticket holder, and follow them around the country when I am able to.
I also love to travel.
My Experience
I have been a nanny since 2012, my first role in Teddington was with children who are now 10yrs old and 5 years. I was with this family for 5.5 years.
I then took on 2 6/7month stints with a family in Kew on a temporary basis. This was also with two children who are now ages 10 and 8 years old.
I then worked in Twickenham for just over 18 months caring for children aged 18months and 4 years at the start of the role. I provided usual nanny duties during this time as well as taking on the role home school learning during school closures due to covid.
I previously worked in a private day nursery where I was as a mentor/key worker for children aged 1-2 years. I love working with children as no two days are the same and I love to watch children grow and develop knowing that I have in some way helped them to become who they are.
In 2009/2010 I worked a ski season as a resort nanny in the French alps, and looked after children up to the age of 8 whilst their parents are out skiing. Along with another nanny I managed and run the creche, ensuring parental forms were completed, shopping lists done and activities were age appropriate so all children were kept busy and happy.
I completed 2 years at college where I gained a Diploma in Childcare and Education, and during this time I carried out a number of work placements. These placement were carried out in a variety of childcare settings and with children from 3months to 8years.
I also have younger family members who I regularly look after and take on day trips out. Therefore I have had first hand experience watching them grow since birth and have observerd the changes they got through and the milestones they reach.
