About Me
Hello, my name is Jo and I am an Ofsted registered childminder in Hertfordshire & have been now for 20 years. I have always been graded as either 'Good' or 'Outstanding' in all my inspections.
I am married and have two children age 32 and 26. My children have their own homes now.
We live in a large detached house in a quiet close with a large enclosed garden. This is very close to the local schools. We have a large kitchen for lots of messy play and has a fully equipped play kitchen, nursery centre, and easel. We have a large playroom full of stimulating toys, games, puzzles, instruments, role play equipment and costumes and more. The children can rest or sleep in our separate lounge . The garden has a range of outdoor toys and a playhouse which is full again of toys, games etc. The garden is also used for messy play, growing, painting and learning. We visit local playgroups, libraries and the different parks that we have in Sawbridgeworth. Sometimes, we also have days out.
My Experience
I became a childminder in 2004 and look after children from newborn to age 11.
My Qualifications
I have been on lots of courses including the core courses that is, Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene and Child Protection. In addition I have completed the NVQ3 in Childcare Learning and Development amongst other things. I have also attended Baby Signing courses which I do with the children.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £9.00 per hour
- Childminding from £5.75 per hour
I currently charge £5.75ph with food and snacks.

Jo has cared for our daughter Iris since she was 14 months old. She is hands down amazing. Iris has flourished in her care. She’s a well adjusted 3 year old who loves Jojo.
I love getting her weekly report and reading what iris has been up to. These, along with all of her arts and crafts will be lovely memories to share with our daughter when she gets older.
We will be sorry to say goodbye as Iris starts school in September.
