About Me
My name is Lucy and I am 33 years old. I have a BTEC National Diploma in Childcare and over 15 years of experience including being a Mum myself. I live in Benfleet and I am a single parent to two daughters, Ava who is 12 and Everly who is almost 7.
I currently run a photography business as a children and family/wedding photographer and I work part time as an LSA in a secondary school, specifically with SEN pupils including ADHD and Autism. I have been at my current role since in the school September 2023. I am looking for babysitting jobs, adhoc jobs during half terms when my children are cared for by their Dad.
I have 6 years nannying experience in total, working for three different families aged between 10 months and 7 years. My job roles included school and nursery drop offs, taking to and from toddler groups/after school clubs and general planning of activities and trips in the school holidays. My eldest daughter Ava came with me to all of the above nannying roles until she went to school in 2018! She has made some lovely friends along the way!
I also have experience as a nursery nurse/senior room leader.
I have a full UK licence and my own car.

My Experience
Prior to becoming a nanny (and for a short while after. I worked at a day nursery as an early years practitoner for two years. This job involved many aspects such as taking part in children's daily care routines, setting up activities for them and also doing reports on each child and making sure they were meeting their milestones.
Whilst studying childcare, I gained 800 hours experience working with children aged 0-8 years, both in primary school and nursery settings. I finished with college a triple distinction.
My additional experience includes babysitting for six years for friends and family.
I can provide references if needs be.
My Qualifications
- BTEC National Diploma at Level 3, Triple Distinction
- DBS checked
- Previous First Aid training (I think it now needs to be updated)
- Various training gained at my current job (safeguarding, working with SEN children etc)

Lucy was caring for our 13 month old on temporary basis through May. She has been excellent with our little girl and has also been picking our 4 year old from school, with some after school care. Her daughter Ava is a great help, in fact as she has developed a really nice relationship with our kids. Ava looks out for our daughter and entertains her too.
Lucy is efficient and very relaxed at dealing with the kids. In the short time she has been with us she has dealt with short notice problems with ease and no complaints. She had to take our daughter to the doctors at short notice. She had Ava and both our kids during an hour wait, but still had a smile!!
Overall I highly recommend Lucy!

Lucy has now been with us for about 2 years and she has been the best nanny we have ever had. She has been so great with my kids, and with our whole family. I couldn't recommend her more! My daughter is now in nursery and therefore we unfortunately have fewer hours available for Lucy but we would really like to still keep her on at least one day a week if at all possible. She and Ava have become part of the family and especially since our daughters are the same age they are just like sisters. We will really miss them the rest of the week. We have shared the journey of the kids growing up together so far and she has been a real support for us. I never have to worry when I'm at work as I know they are in the best hands. Lucy is great with children of all ages and also helps me with some household chores. She is always willing to accommodate anything that is asked of her and is very very reliable. She has never let me down even once in the whole time she has been with us. She is truly fantastic!!

Lucy has been babysitting for us for about 3 years now and I honestly hate to use anyone else, she is so good with our daughter and is even fantastic with me! She is clearly a natural caregiver and her experience is fantastic, she encouraged my daughter with writing, drawing and crafting even though she only has a few hours with her. Our daughters have become like sisters and I'm very happy to call Lucy a wonderful family friend.
