About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder.
I have 2 grown up daughters and live in Didsbury, South Manchester.
I offer free entitlement hours for 2 and 3 year olds.
I work along side my daughter who is a registered assistant. She is First Aid, Safeguarding and Food Hygiene trained.
I accept child care vouchers and am registered for the government tax free childcare scheme.
My Experience
I have been registered for 24 years.
I offer a warm family environment for children to develop socially, physically and emotionally. I understand that every child is different, unique and has different ways of learning and reaching their full potential . I try to the very best of my ability to provide enabling environments to stretch children while giving them a safe place to try different experiences.
I have lots of outdoor equipment which include, a tree house den, sand and water play.
We visit play centres, parks, shops, garden centres, art galleries, museums and libraries.
We regularly go on nature walks. I run a gardening club during the summer which gives the children a chance to learn about nature, plants and garden creatures.
At home we make seasonal crafts as well as marking festivals such as Easter, Christmas, Chinese New Year, Eid and Diwali. We also have singing and dancing sessions and story time every day and for older children I work enthusiastically to help make children ‘school ready’ eg dressing, holding pen and writing name if ready, being familiar with numbers and letters but more importantly being kind, sociable, polite and independent.
I have recently changed my setting to incorporate more open ended, natural resources to help build confidence, imagination and critical thinking.
I provide an electronic daily diary for each child. This is also includes photographs detailing the children's activities throughout the day.
I am registered on the Manchester City Council web site.
I am more than happy to provide references.
I am also an accredited Child Sleep Coach.

We were so lucky to find Lisa! She has been amazing taking our 20 month old son in for the summer. Lisa immediately instilled confidence in us with her professionalism and warmth. Living in the area for only a short time we feel so lucky that Lisa agreed to care for Ben on a short-term basis. Ben was always excited to go to Lisa's and literally ran into the house. He was well taken care of with many activities and home cooked meals and snacks. We highly recommend Lisa.
