About Me
My name is Louise Hill, I’m married to Matthew and we live in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire with my two children. I am an Ofsted registered Childminder with an 'Outstanding' Grade and my last inspection was in May 2022.
We have a friendly pet dog called Cookie and a small nature pond in the garden.
I really enjoy working with children, before I started childminding I worked at a local school for 5 years.
We have a great space here for children to play in, a recently updated designated playroom and a large outside play area.
I have a Slimbridge and Westonbirt membership where we enjoy playing outside and exploring the surrounding environment. I meet up with other local childminders, which is great for children to socialise and experience new things. I also attend a weekly childminder group which is great for the children to meet and play. My Experience
My previous work history has generally been working with children and food. Before starting my childminding business I worked at a local school, I was the Design and Technology Technician, which gave me a lot of experience, working with children and doing lots of cooking with them. Whilst employed in this position I attended courses, such as “Basic Introduction to Child Protection, Emergency First Aid at Work and Food Safety in Catering. I have certificates for these courses, which all are supportive for the work I do now.
My Qualifications
I have successfully completed the Ofsted requirements, attending and passing the Understand how to set up a home based childcare service course. I am a qualified Paediatric First Aider. I have also completed Basic Introduction to Child Protection, GSCB Inter-agency Child Protection Course, Emergency First Aid at Work and Food Safety in Catering courses. I have 8 x A-C grade GCSE's. I have an Outstanding grade with Ofsted. I am currently working towards my Level 3 in Early Years Education.
My Availability
I offer full-time or part-time spaces. I work term-time only.
Working hours are Mon – Thurs 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
I offer some additional availability through the school holidays.
I have some availability from January 2024.
