About Me
I’ve been a registered childminder for 25 years, fully registered with Ofsted and Childcare.co.uk, and I’ve lived in Ware for over 32 years. I have two grown?up children a son and a daughter and caring for little ones has always been a huge, happy part of my life.
My home is relaxed, friendly, and nurturing a place where children feel safe, settled, and truly at ease. I offer care that’s gentle, fun, and full of learning, with a purpose?built playroom and easy access to the garden for lots of fresh?air adventures.
We enjoy a lovely mix of cosy home activities and little outings, including toddler groups, parks, libraries, museums, woodlands, and indoor play areas. Outdoor learning is something we treasure, and we make the most of it whenever we can.
My Setting
At home, children can explore a wide range of resources for indoor, outdoor, and creative play. Some of our favourite things to do include:

• Playdough and sensory play
• Role play and imaginative games
• Singing, dancing, and music
• Outdoor play and exploration
I keep activities gentle, varied, and engaging so children can learn, discover, and thrive in a happy, supportive environment.
My garden is dedicated entirely to the children — a safe, enclosed space they absolutely adore. We spend lots of time outdoors, exploring, playing, and enjoying the fresh air together.
Our home is a spacious four?bedroom house with a dedicated playroom, a kitchen perfect for crafts and messy play, and a handy downstairs cloakroom. There’s always a wide selection of toys, games, and activities available to suit different ages and interests.
Learning & Development
I follow the EYFS and use the Development Matters framework to gently support each child’s learning journey. I observe their progress regularly and plan their next steps so they can grow confidently at their own pace, with plenty of encouragement and care.
Communication With Parents
I know how important it is for parents to feel connected to their child’s day. I’m always happy to share updates and sweet little moments so you know exactly what your child has been doing, learning, and enjoying while they’re with me.

I plan activities and outings that help children learn to share, cooperate, and build kindness and confidence. I believe strongly that all children boys and girls, from every background should be treated fairly, equally, and with respect.
My aim is simple: to provide a safe, caring, secure, happy, and fun environment where your child can grow, learn, and feel truly at home.

My Experience
Alongside raising my own children, I’ve spent the past 25 years as a registered childminder, creating a calm, secure, and loving environment where little ones can learn, grow, and flourish.
I aim to offer the same level of care you would give your own child kind, attentive, and truly personal. I work closely with parents to understand each child’s routines, needs, and personality, so the care they receive feels familiar, comforting, and perfectly suited to them.
My focus is always on providing care that is stimulating, educational, nurturing, and fun. With a purpose built playroom and easy access to the garden, children have plenty of space to explore, play, and build confidence at their own pace.
Above all, my priority is simple: to keep every child safe, healthy, and happy, wrapped in the warmth and reassurance they need to thrive.

My Availability
usually respond to enquiries within an hour.
I currently have Early Years spaces available and offer drop off and collection from Kingshill Infant School, St Mary’s Junior School, and Orchard House Pre School.
My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
I charge £6.50 an hour for preschool children and £6.50 an hour for before and after school. This includes healthy snacks and drinks
My Local Schools
- I provide drop offs and pick ups at Kingshill Infant School
- I provide drop offs and pick ups at St Mary's Voluntary Controlled Church of England Junior School

We have been very happy with the after school care offered by Sharon for our eldest son. She provides a safe and fun environment for the children in her care. There is plenty for them to do and this active environment is perfect for our son! I was pleased with how quickly he settled with Sharon when I returned to work. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sharon to anyone looking for afterschool care for their child.
