About Me

Hello, My name is Sarah, I'm looking to return to nannying 3/4/5 days a week.

I have worked in childcare since I was 17, I'm now 52 and a mother myself to a wonderful daughter who is soon to be turning 18.

From 1990 to 1994 I worked full time as a nanny, then took 2 years out to study my Diploma in Nursery Nursing. I then started a full time job role sole charge of premature twins. Over the years I cared for children of all ages including 7 sets of twins. In 2011 I started childminding as I had my daughter, until 2024.

I decided to try something different, I volunteered at a community centre for 6 years, loved it, so went into hospitality, it wasn't for me sadly. About 4 months ago I advertised as a nanny, a wonderful nursery persuaded be to work their, but nursery work is just not what I want to do, my vocation is being a nanny and working in family homes.

I'm currently looking to return to nannying, but understand because I've not been in it full time I need to get back into it. I have been a Registered Childminder to children 0 to 4 for 11 years, which included have 3 under 3 all the time, it was in my home and not in family homes but it's the same concept.

I'm reaching out to any families out their that I can help, I'm incredibly caring, kind and compassionate, my ethos is child led but with boundaries and a holistic approach. I'm also keen on nanny / housekeeper roles.

I am a Level 3 Qualified Nanny with over 30 years experience with children from premature newborn to 16 YEARS. I work in partnership with families to provide the individual help they require. I have an Inhanced DBS on the update service, Pediatric first aid and Safeguarding level 4 and a Montessori Teaching Diploma.
