My Experience

After leaving collage, I was offered a job in the nursery I had done my work experience in. I worked in the baby room (3months-2years) for two years along side one other girl.

I was then approached by the parents of a baby from my room, who asked if I would be their nanny for their two boys.
I accepted and spent 3 years with them. The boys were 6months and 20months when I started the job and 3yrs + 4yrs when leaving. (14 month age gap) reasons for leaving being the eldest was starting school. I still see them regularly for babysitting or popping in to have a cup of tea and a catch up.
After leaving my first nanny roll I took on a few temp jobs that has added to my experience. Those being with 7month old twins with a two year old sibling.
The other working with three children, ages 3yrs 4yrs and 11yrs

I then started working a four day week split between two families:

(Monday,Wednesday) with twin girls 2 years

(Tuesday,Thursday) twins (B+G)1years and G 4years

I was with these families for just under 1 year. Reasons for leaving being one of the mums had her hours cut down, no longer needing me. I struggled to find another family to fit in with the two days I needed. Unfortunately I then had to leave the other family.

I then started working Monday- Thursday with boy/girl twins. I started when they were 9 months old and stayed with them for almost 6 years. I stayed to help settle them into school and make the transition a little easier.

My current family I look after 3 boy. Twins - 4years and older brother 8. The twins were 9 months when I started this position and brother was 4.

Im currently looking for my next role as the twins are starting school in September. Im looking for a new full time, sole charge role.

My Qualifications

CACHE diploma level 3 in child care and education.

• Nannying from £14.00 per hour (net)
• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
