About Me
I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder living in Chalfont St. Giles with my husband. I have been childminding for 30 years and at my last Ofsted inspection was rated "Good".
I love what I do and offer the children in my care various activities to help them learn and become confident and capable young people. I have a playroom full of toys and books, an art cupboard full of stuff to use and a safe garden. Sometimes it's just not enough so we visit local toddler groups, the various parks in the area(9 within 5 miles!), friend's houses to play, childminding group...i could go on!!
Pop in for a coffee and a chat as words on a page just aren't enough!
My Experience
I started my work life as a nanny, moved to accounting when I met my husband and when I fell pregnant knew I wanted to stay at home so came back to childcare and registered as a childminder. I started when my son was 8 months old and have never looked back.
My Qualifications
As well as 30 years as a mother and childminder to numerous children??
I'm Ofsted Registered, a PACEY (Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years) member, hold a current Paediatric First Aid certificate, am registered with the local environmental health service and hold a current Level 2 award in food catering certificate...I could go on and list the certificates of attendance that I've received over the years on various courses that I've been on to help me learn and improve my practice...but i don't want to bore you...they are available to view when you visit.

I have space available for an under 5, ideally 1-2 years old, 4-5 days a week

Debbie provided care for my daughter, from the age of 8 months until she was two years old. The only reason we didn't continue, is because we moved away from the area. Debbie has a ton of experience with children of all ages, and really provides a 'home from home' setting with lots of fun activities and learning. She taught my daughter basic sign language to communicate, which she still uses today! Debbie is a very warm and caring childminder, who is very flexible and will also provide lovely home cooked meals. My daughter loved her, and any further childminders I require will certainly have a lot to live up to!
