About Me
Hi my name is Becky. I am ofsted registered and qualified in childcare and education. I find working with children a highly rewarding job and particularly enjoy providing the children with stimulating and enjoyable activities and learning opportunities. I am a kind caring person and I am passionate about providing the highest quality of childcare. My home is very clean and welcoming and is homely and secure. I have a large selection of toys both inside and out for all ages of children and stages of development. I provide nappies, wipes, creams and sun protection cream and have a selection of sun hats, winter hats, gloves and scarves so the children are protected and ready for fun in all weathers. I attend regular training courses to keep my ideas fresh and my skills up to date. I provide the children in my care with fun packed days and we regularly visit local playgroups, parks, playgrounds, soft play centres, libraries etc. All outings are risk assessed and children are always supervised and never left with anybody else. Parents are always kept up to date with their child's adventures via their 'daily diary' and I also inform parents verbally of what their child has been up to that day. I provide children with breakfast, a healthy mid morning snack, a delicious home cooked lunch and a high tea in the afternoon
My Experience
I have worked in private nurseries were I have cared for babies and young children from 6 weeks- 7 years. As a nursery nurse I provided my key children with stimulating activities to help them develop their skills within the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. I have also worked in a special needs school were I supported children with various learning difficulties and additional needs with support in their learning and social skills. In my most recent job role I worked as a nanny were i cared for two young children and took care of their every day needs in their home. I have a lot of experience in caring for newborns. I have now been childminding for 6 years and love it!
My Qualifications
After leaving school with my G.C.S.E's I attended Preston College and completed my Level 2 in Childcare and Education and gained a Distinction grade. I then went on to do my Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education.
My safeguarding training and paediatric first aid training are kept up to date. I have also completed other training courses including autism awareness, behaviour development and management and food hygiene training to name just a few.
