About Me
Hi my name is Sam Christopher and I am a registered childminder in Buckley. I am married to my partner of 30 years and we have 2 lovely daughter's, both in further education. We live in a bungalow which has a large secured rear garden and has all the necessary safety adaptations and equipment for children of all ages to stay safe whilst having fun. I have many outdoor toys, sand/water pit and a large summer house suitable for children of all ages.
Our day to day activities are craft - which are always out for the children to use freely, I attend toddler groups in and around Buckley, music & dance, days out (zoo, beach, National trust properties) Baking, story-time & role play, lots of learning through play and outdoor play and much more. I encourage outdoor play as much as possible come rain or shine, splashing in muddy puddles or in a nice cool pool on a sunny day!
We own 1 friendly, tiny dog who loves a fuss.
My hours of work are 08:00-17:00 Monday to Friday.
My language is English with minimal Welsh.
My Experience
I have lots of experience from a younger age working with and around children.
I have been Childminding since 2012 and it's the best career choice I have made by far. I love it!
Childminding works well for myself and my family and we always try to make families feel like our own.
My Qualifications
I have attained qualifications in Introduction to Childminding Practice, Paediatric First Aid and Basic Food Hygiene.
I have also recently recieved a 5 star certificate for food & hygiene.
Currently working toward obtaining a Childcare Level 3 qualification.
My Availability
My hours of work are, Mon-Fri 08:00 -17:00. Additional hours may be available.

Having used Sam as a relief childminder over 12 months ago I could instantly see the difference in quality of service. As soon as a full time position was available I jumped at the chance. Having to put a child in full time childcare is a hard choice for any parent but Sam creates a home from home environment and adapts easily to childrens emotional and personal needs. The day to day activities and level of care is second to none and I would recommend her to anyone.
Overall
Sam used to be my childminder until I unfortunately became redundant from work. My daughter adores her & her family and still mentions her alot. I have recently started back at work and I have to say I am absolutely devastated because Sam does not have room for me. I will keep pestering her until I get a place!! My daughter could not wait to go to their house & cried when I collected her, which says it all. Sam would take her to clubs, walks, parks etc & always had brilliant ideas for the craft to take home every week. Highly recommend Sam, she is a lovely person with a heart of gold, Jo x

Overall
Sam has been my childminder for my little boy for the past 2 years. My little boy is now 5 and loves going to Sams house daily. As he's now in full time school his hours with her are limited but she always trys her very best to accommodate me, my schedule and my ever changing work hours. She always has him during the holidays and i love to send him there as everyday is different.
She takes the kids on great days out to various venues such as Delemere forest, whizz kids, loggerheads, swimming and many more i can't name them all, when the weather permits and even on the dullest days Rhys always comes home with a huge smile, a massive amount of arts and crafts and great stories of all the creative activities he's done throughout the day.
He always moans when its time for me too collect him as he wants to stay and play some more.
All Sams family are loving and welcoming. Her daughters are great, her husband is fantastic with the kids and her mother is a god send.
Would definitely recommend Sam.
Loving, warm and caring atmosphere every visit.

Overall
Sam is a wonderful Childminder who has made my son feel at home in her house when ever he goes to her. He brings home crafts that he has made with her and they are so imaginative! He is made to feel like one of the family and gets on really well with her own children. The play area that is in her garden is amazing (wish we had one at home!!!). She cooks brilliant, tasty and healthy meals for him, that he loves. Thank you Sam.

Sam is an excellent childminder, she has been really accommodating to my childcare needs, and is always willing to be flexible if I need extra childcare. She provides care for my child in a safe, happy environment and always keeps me informed of what my child has been doing and what she has planned for the future. My daughter loves coming to Sam's, she enjoys the activities they do together and has made lots of new friends including Sam's own two children.
