About Me
Hi I'm Laura, I’m 35 and a Mummy to two - a 6 year old and a 3 year old.
Since I was very little I always wanted to work with children - ever since my auntie was my nursery nurse! I have a level 3 National Diploma in Child Care & Education and have studied at Edge Hill University on a 6 month course also.
I worked within private childcare settings for over 6 years, my last role being a Room Leader before changing careers to working in an office where I worked for over 10 years before an amazing opportunity came around and I am now working as a childcare assistant in a Childminders and back doing a job I adore!
I am available some week nights (when I am not teaching gym classes) as well as weekends and bank holidays as long as we have no plans as a family.
In my spare time I enjoy long walks with my family and both of our dogs and going to the gym. I’m a Les Mills Body Combat & Body Pump instructor and I teach 3 classes a week at local gyms.

My Experience
I have worked within private settings for over 6 years, working with children aged 3 months upto school age, as well as on placements in schools with children in reception, year 1 & year 2 during my 2 year course at Southport College.
I have experience of working on a one:one basis with SEN children (Special Educational Needs).
I have worked with deaf children were I taught myself sign language (BSL level 1) and I have also worked with children on the autistic spectrum, working in partnership with play and speech & language therapists.
I absolutely adore working with children and as much of a cliche it is, they are my passion!
It was a big decision to leave childcare but there was no progression apart from being paper-based and the benefits I gained from working in the office was worth it but I couldn’t be happier to be back working with children!
My Qualifications
I have a level 3 National Diploma in Child Care & Education and I have studied at Edge Hill University for 6 months on a short course of Child Care which I passed.
I have been on countless courses over the years including full first aid, food hygiene, communication courses, play courses and many more which I have notes on.

Having never left my son with anyone before I was extremely nervous. Laura was excellent, she came to visit my son before the actual night of babysitting itself and spent some time with him which put us all at ease. Laura obviously has a natural way with kids and my son took to her straight away, the night of babysitting itself went so smoothly and we're looking forward to booking Laura again as we feel we've found someone we can comfortably and safely leave our child with.
Laura text throughout the night to let us know how things were going, an all round pleasant and relaxing experience. I would recommend Laura to anyone.

I would highly recommend Laura as she’s amazing with my 3 children and I will only leave them with 100% the right person.
Laura is very friendly, caring and gives my children full attention and texts me while I’m out to keep me informed what are children are doing etc....
I feel very comfortable having her as our childminder and definitely recommend to anyone as ur children will be very well cared for

Laura was lovely. She visited Harry and Rosie before the evening, getting to know them. This made for an exciting evening for them and a reassuring evening for us. She let us know how they were getting on and was really warm and friendly. We would wholeheartedly recommend Laura to anyone who needs babysitting services!
