About Me
Hi, I'm an Ofsted registered childminder based in Consett ,County Durham. I live with my daughter Libby and Brinkley our dog. I have been a childminder since 2004 in London and Durham. I am registered with Durham County Council to provide childcare for funded hours.
Being a childminder means no day is the same. Children go on daily outings to toddler groups, the park, soft plays, sensory rooms and the farm. The children chose to adopt a sheep this year called Baa at Hall Hill Farm which they love to visit.
During the holidays we can go to the beach, museums, parks, the farm, cinema, bowling and soft plays. Children have access to a wide range of toys, we do crafts, messy play, this could be with water, sand, messy slimes, or snow in the winter. We attend Mini Explorers, a forest school once a week.
All children in my care can learn and develop according to their own abilities, they will be encouraged and supported in every aspect of their learning journey.
All children are treated equally and with respect, they are taught to respect and value others.
My Experience
I have been a childminder for 20 plus years and have looked after many children from the ages of 6 months up to 12 years, some with additional needs.
My Qualifications
I have completed various courses including child protection, safeguarding, healthy eating and numerous courses with regards child development. I have an up to date pediatric first aid certificate and a level 3 diploma in Childcare in the workforce.
My Availability
I am flexible on hours and days as I know many parents work on shift patterns. I ONLY collect and drop off children to Beechdale nursery. Childcare is provided between the hours of 0700-1700 Monday - Friday including school holidays (times may vary)
I currently have no spaces available till July 2026, but we do have a waiting list as things can change.
My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
My current fees are £6 per hour and £10 for siblings. Subject to change

Anne Gareth and the team are absolutely amazing!
from meticulously crossing the T's and dotting the I's these guys have you feeling comfortable and confident your child is going to be happy and content with them.
we literally cant believe the value for money and the complete attention to detail !
everything from meeting at the door and going the extra mile when we were slightly late to feeding him and taking him on amazing adventures (all documented in a funky book for our evening reading) was included and we can honestly say he ended his time with anne and Gareth more enlightened and gained some important skills.
highly recommend Anne to anyone and will definately be using them again !
