About Me

* spaces available this term* Hello, my name is Ruth. I live in Charvil with my husband, Lloyd, and our two children. I have been working as a childminder for several years, and I’m passionate about creating a safe, secure, and fun environment where children can thrive.

My aim is for every child in my care to feel happy, confident, and comfortable in my home. I provide a space where they can explore, experiment, take safe risks, and most importantly- be themselves. There are plenty of activities to keep little ones busy and engaged, from playdough making, painting, and cooking to exciting science experiments.

Outdoor play is something I really value, and I encourage the children to learn about nature and the environment. We have a lovely garden that’s always changing and ready for adventure.

Animals are also a big part of our home. We have a miniature labradoodle, cats, and tortoises. Caring for the animals helps children flourish, it builds confidence, teaches empathy, nurtures a connection with nature, and offers valuable life lessons.

Beyond the home, we take part in a wide range of local activities, including toddler groups, forest school, gymnastics, music groups, trips to parks and museums, and regular meet-ups with other childminders.

This term, I’m excited to share that I now have an assistant working with me. This means I can offer more spaces for children to join our setting, while still ensuring lots of attention, care, and fun for each child.
