About Me
Hi, I'm Sally, I am an Ofsted registered childminder and am passionate about providing a warm and friendly environment where the children can feel safe and secure and have lots of fun. I work closely with parents to ensure I provide a home-from-home environment with play experiences adapted to each child's interests, likes and stage of development.
I live in Hitchin and have been a childminder since 2017. I am Ofsted registered, CRB checked, fully insured and hold an up-to-date paediatric first aid certificate. I have achieved a Grade A in the Level 3 'Diploma in Home-Based Childcare'.
We spend lots of time outside. I have a lovely secure garden with outdoor toys and enjoy spending time in parks, playgrounds and local walks too. Indoor activities include art and crafts, messy play, baking, construction, small-world toys, role play, puzzles and stories.
I produce a daily diary on WhatsApp for each child with details of activities, sleeps, meals etc. and create regular learning journals which include ‘artwork’ and photos as well as comments on interesting things children have said or done.
I follow the guidelines of the ‘Early Years Foundation Stage’, a framework to support children up to the end of the reception year at school.
My Experience
I have been childminding since 2007, with experience from young babies up to school-age. I love working with children and find it both fun and rewarding.
I obtained a Grade A in the Level 3 Qualification - 'Diploma in Home-based Childcare' and have up-to-date First Aid and Safeguarding certificates.

Sally currently looks after our two year old and is really excellent! She is prompt and responsive, updating us daily on the activities and learning. She genuinely likes the children she cares for and takes great care of them.
