About Me
My name is Sam, I live with my husband and two children in Portchester, Fareham. My husband works full time, as do I, but my job will take me away 2-4 nights per week (weekdays only). I will be around 2-3hrs drive away from home.
I have two children; a girl aged 8 who is at school. and a boy aged 4 who is in nursery, but he goes to school in September; both kids will then be at the same primary school. My children do various local clubs. (my life is run with military precision!)
I want to find the right childcare for my kids while I am away, so I am not constantly worried and fretting about my children and whether they are ok. I want someone who I trust 'like family', as that's essentially what they will become; part of our family and someone who will professionally 'love' my children whilst mummy is away. The concept of being away from my children for any extended period is not one that sits easily with me at all. I have always worked full-time, but have always been around for dinner, bed and bath time before, so on a personal level, my new working regime is going to take some adjustment. My children are wonderful (I may be slightly biased). They are kind, considerate and polite.
My Requirements
I am looking for a nanny/childminder to have my children from early in the morning (6am or before, when my husband leaves for work) and take them to school at 8.30am, and then collect then at 3.30pm and take them to clubs/hobbies and remain with them at my home until one parent gets home. Overnights may be required from time to time.
There is the possibility of having accommodation in our home overnight, but we are more than happy to find something that works for the right nanny/carer.
I am likely to need this from April (I am trying to negotiate a consistent working pattern, so my days will be the same every week, to give consistency) but am trying to find someone early so we can do all of the meetings/settling in etc before me having to be away. I will be home Fridays and over the weekend, and so am only intending to need help Mon - ?Thurs.
