About Me
Hi my name is Kim and I live in Hassocks. I have 27 years childcare experience and have two children of my own, G 15yrs and B 12yrs.
I am a very organised person who is caring, honest and dedicated to working with children in their own environment.
I regularly attend toddler/play mornings and love getting the children outdoors to explore and play. I am passionate about the care I give and love arts and crafts.
I am a great cook and am passionate about cooking balanced and nutritious meals from fresh ingredients.
I hold a full and clean driving licence.
My Experience
I have worked in childcare since 2000. I have spent much of this time in nursery settings, working my way up to Deputy Manager, however, I branched out to nanny work in 2009, a year after my daughter was born and have done this since.
I have found that incorporating my children into a family setting has worked very successfully for all, offering instant sociability and play mates for other children. Both of my children have grown up with me nannying for families.
I have experience with working with children from birth to 9 years.
I have also worked for 18 months on a pre and post natal ward as a maternity care assistant and worked alongside new mums to help them establish breastfeeding with their newborns.
My Qualifications
I am NVQ level 3 qualified in Child care and Education.
I am DBS cleared
I hold a paediatric first aid certificate
I have attended the Parenting Puzzle course which has been fascinating.
I hold my food hygiene certificate
I am also a mum of 2, so have all the experience which that brings.
