About Me
My name is Meriem and I am an OFSTED registered childminder, I work with Antonella who is also an Ofsted registered childminder
Our setting is in Hoddesdon near Rye House train station, the town centre and various Hoddesdon parks.
I have a large garden and a spacious house which includes a playroom. I have a full range of Indoor and Outdoor toys and activities suitable for ages 0 to 12 years. These are updated and replaced on a regular basis.
We also work with registered assistants. We all hold first aid certificates, safeguarding certificates and are DBS checked. All certificates are available upon request.
My Experience
I have 15 years’ experience as a childminder and 27 years of experience as a mother. Antonella has been working with me for 2 years and also have experience as a mother. Together we have minded over 50 children over the last 15years between the age of 2 months and 12 years.Our role includes providing a normal daily routine and incorporating all the things a child would ordinarily encounter with their parents & provide a happy, safe & supportive environment. This includes providing indoor play such as craft activities, drawing and painting. When weather permits, the children can play in our bright, spacious & well-equipped garden where they are under supervision at all times. In the summer we have the paddling pool out to keep cool and diversify our activities.
We frequently visit the local indoor play areas and parks.
My latest OFSTED inspection was in July 2019, which was graded good in all the areas of learning.

My Availability
We have availability from July 2025 for early years children aged 0 - 3 years old.
I am available to do drop off and pick up at Cranbourne school and Rye Park nursery drop off at 8:45 and pick up a 2:45

Antonella , Meriem & Sarah’s have been brilliant with our 4 year old son. He started off full time & now goes after school & he loves it! They are great at communicating and sending updates. They have fun days out and lots of play time outside when the weather is nice. Thanks to you all for taking good care of our son!

Antonella and Meriem, and Sarah their assistant, are incredible. My husband and I don’t have a huge “village” we can call upon for help, but since starting our little one’s childcare here, we have. Our baby couldn’t be happier, he’s so excited to go every day and has learnt so much with them.
Their communication with us is great, we get photos daily and we can see how much they care about him. It makes such a difference knowing he’s being looked after by someone who we trust and who know’s our little boy so well.
I can’t give them enough praise! So happy to have found them :)

My 2 year old has been with Meriem and the team for over a year now and I couldn’t be happier. Naturally, leaving your baby for the first time is an apprehensive and emotional experience, but from day one, the team have shown care, patience, and a genuine affection for Charlie.
It's comforting knowing he’s in a safe, nurturing, and fun environment. Meriem and the team play a huge role in his development, thanks to the activities and experiences (including the care home trips).
The communication is always fantastic, receiving daily updates and photos showing what he’s been up to. Grateful to have found such a warm and caring child care for Charlie.

Meriem and antonella and their team are truely the best child minders. they are great at communcation and updating me on daily activies. My children RUN to the door excited to go inside. With a clean environment and a range of toys inside and outside which my children are constantly excited to explore. theyre empathy towards both children is amazing comforting them when needed. could never fault them they provide the best care and i fully trust them with both my children

My son started with Meriem and her lovely employees in February 2023, he loved it from the start enjoyed going in and thrived more more each day!
I couldn’t recommend her enough! Lovely clean setting! I was always dubious about sending my son to a childminder but I can safely say she made me feel so confident when leaving my child. We love her and her amazing team

My daughter was only 6 months old when I had to go back to work and luckily Meriem was able to help us. She is truly fantastic with my daughter. They have a great bond and I know my daughter is in good hands. There’s lots of things to do and play with and Meriem takes the kids for trips out. The summers are great in the garden with lots of water play. Highly recommend.

My little boy started with Meriem when he was just 9 months old and I am so happy we found her.
My little boy has health problems and has spent a lot time in hospital so it was very hard for me to find someone I could trust with him. Meriem made us feel comfortable straight away, she has always been helpfully and understanding about his condition and has gone above and beyond to help where she can.
As a full time working mum it can be hard to juggle but I can always rely on Meriem she is accommodating and understanding and extremely reliable.
My little one has been with Meriem a year and a half and loves it most days I don't even get a goodbye at the door!!!
We are so happy we found her she truly is the best!

We started my 9 month old with Meriem, right from the start she has been brilliant! My little boy adores her and I have found her so helpful, she really cares about him and would be an excellent choice. I cannot recommend her more! Your child will be in safe and loving hands!

I met Meriem through this website back in the summer when my 1 year old was really struggling with adapting the a nursery setting. I thought a childminder would be better for her as due to the pandemic she wasn't able to be around lots of people and a home setting was whay she was comfortable with.
Well Meriem completely changed my child for the better. She was soo comfortable with meriem and was no longer screaming and crying when I was dropping her off to Meriem ( something she used to do at nursery)
Meriem has developed my child so much and she does soo much with the kids more than I would do she takes them soft play singing and dancing and to the zoo every single week. She's just amazing
She treats my child like her own and thats why I would never send me child to anyone else but Meriem.

I had to return to work after maternity leave and needed a safe space for my son who had just turned 2 a few month before. Finding Meriem was a dream come true. She is truly dedicated to looking after the children in her care and she does it always with a smile on her face. She goes above and beyond with the children's best interest at heart. Her house is always neat and tidy much to my amazement knowing how toddlers can be. She is just excellent all round.
As working mum, I found her accommodating and understanding when I could not make it back on time for pick ups. My son felt very comfortable, happy and always looked forward to drop offs. Being a picky eater Meriem accommodated his limited diet and gradually introduced him to other foods which we remain grateful for. On my sons birthday, she organised a party for him with the other children under her care. It was very heart warming to see everywhere set up with balloons, decorations food and drinks all at her expense. That's the sort of person she is, she would do anything possible to make the children happy and special.
She was very patient when we were goin through the potty training stage and her support was immense. I could go on and on about how amazing she is.
Now my son is much older and in big school but it would not have been easy juggling work and a toddler without Meriem. I would give double 5 stars if I could.
