About Me
I am a 'Good' Ofsted Registered Childminder. I was inspected on 29th January 2026. I do not yet have the report. Up until February 2020 I was Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ since 2011. I have been Childminding for 26years. I have cared for many children from baby to secondary school age including all the children of whole families. I live in a lovely house very close to Gordon Primary School, SE9 and 5mins walk from Eltham train station. I have a lovely secure garden. I have a 7 seater car for outings, in addition to a wide range of age appropriate toys for both indoors and the garden. I have two children of my own - both now adults. Both boys have been through University, one is now a teacher at a large private school in Bangkok, Thailand and the other is still making his mind up what the next step will be but is currently working from home!! I share my home with my Mother who is retired and around at home most of the time. I have 3 cats called Biff and Chip and Ella. We inherited Ella from my Dad. We have an almost 5yr old BerneDoodle - a cross between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle. She’s large and vocal but very gentle with the children. She doesn’t moult and the children love her. Her name is Reeva.
My Experience
Before Childminding I worked in local government and then became a full time parent to my children when my relationship with their Father broke down before my second son was born. I moved to Eltham in 2000 with my Mother and my children attended Gordon Primary School. They went on to local secondary schools - one went to Crown Woods College and the other to Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar School. I began Childminding because it allowed me to be an at home parent while supporting my own family on my own and it has served me very well and I continue to enjoy it as a Career. Many of the children I have cared for over the years have been with me since babies and/or are the younger siblings of children who have moved on before them. On a voluntary basis I have also run a Parent and Toddler group at Gordon Primary School and I was also the team Manager of my sons Rugby Team at Blackheath Rugby Club until he left aged 18. I love to walk my dog, travel, go to the theatre and see friends.

My Availability
From now:
3 days per week.
Tuesday (7.30am-3pm), Wednesday (7.30am-3pm, Thursday 7.30am-3pm latest).
Term time only.
Child age: 9mth+, 2yr+ funded child or unfunded child.
From September 2026:
3 x full days
(Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) from 7.30am-6pm for funded children aged 9mth+ or 2yrs.
OR
Short days 7.30am or 9am- 2pm or 3pm.
Term time only.

My Fees
- Childminding from £8.00 per hour
My working day is 7.30am to 6pm or I offer a short day, 9am-3pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday on a Term Time Only basis. I accept Government funding for 9mths+ and 2yr olds but not 3yr olds, and payments via Government Tax Free Childcare Schemes.
If your child receives 30hrs 9mth+or 2yr+ funding from September 2025, there will no additional fees and i will supply all food and nappies, unless you use something very specific or there is a special diet involved.

She is kind and highly professional childminder. My nearly 2 years old son is with her since September. (6months) He is very happy and really love to be there. We live so close so once we walk by her house he always gets excited as he think is “Claire time” again. She takes them in a good variety of places during the day such as soft-play, farms and playground, also there is church time too. I can not recommend her enough.
Ps: She goes over and beyond, once we have any requests she is always responding with a positive and helpful attitude.
