She did not initially address the timing, but instead asked for the child’s age. Once I provided that information, she responded quickly to say the hours were too early for her but that she was available for pick-ups.

I clarified that I did not require pick-ups and that my request was for morning support, as stated in my original message. I also asked again if there were alternative hours that might work for her, but she read the message and did not respond.

I found this lack of communication to be unprofessional. In the future, I would recommend clearly stating the age range and hours you are available for, to avoid misunderstandings and wasted time for both parties.
