About Me
I am a retired primary school headteacher from South Africa now a citizen in Uk and living in the UK. My children have grandchildren. I was in school management in SA but seek now to help children with maths and English in the primary school --8-12 year olds. I love children and have 2 or 3 days in the week to tutor learners in the late afternoons and evenings up to 7:00pm.
I can Zoom or FaceTime if needed but prefer now help my children at my home .
My Experience
I was a teacher for 36 years and have taught most of the grades from ages 9 to 12 .
I specialised in English and remedial education but as a Primary school teacher, I am competent in most of the subjects.
I am especially proficient in Maths (primary school level) and English reading and spelling.
My Qualifications
I have 2 diplomas from South Africa . One is a 4 year diploma in primary school teaching the other was a special diploma in Remedial
Education (SEN)My qualifications have been assessed by NARIC UK and are each equivalent to an English Degree .
My Availability
2 or 3 late afternoons a week from 4:30 - 7:00pm
