About Me
If you're struggling for a conversation piece at dinner parties, get yourself a male childminder - more specifically me, Kev Howarth, because any child that knows me will tell you I'm great fun.
I'm a former Marketing Manager turned Ofsted registered Childminder that gave up office life to look after my children having sent my wife back out to work (she wanted to go!). I've since trained to be a primary school teacher, specialising in Early Years, but quickly realised I was having WAY more fun childminding being able to make a much bigger impact on children's development.
We have a great house full of toys for all ages and we back on to Whitehall Rec so spend a lot of time in the park which I often refer to as my office.
We go to several different groups throughout the week and I spend much of my time on the floor being jumped on and generally used as a human climbing frame.
My Experience
I looked after my children full time from when they were six months old and three-and-a-half and have had many other children in my care since I started childminding in 2007. The parents of any of these children would be happy to tell you how brilliant I am.
My Qualifications
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
PGCE Primary Teaching (Early Years Specialism).
Passed Introduction to Childcare Practice (T/103/4625)
Paediatric First Aid certificate
Largely irrelevant qualifications to childcare:
9 CGSE's
3 A-Levels
BA (Hons) Leisure Management

Vacancy for baby or preschooler available from Tuesday 9th July 2024. Another place likely to be available from September 2024. Possible availability for Raglan school run and after school care.
