My name is Caroline, and I run Caroline Stevens Childminding and I live on Cartmell Road in Woodseats.
I have 21 years of childcare experience and live with my husband Tim and have 2 children. My son, aged 23, lives with us and a 25 year old daughter.
I offer a warm, welcoming family home where children are encouraged to learn through play and educational experiences. We enjoy many indoor and outdoor experiences including regular visits to Padley Gorge, Graves Park, Longshaw, Sheffield Manor Lodge, etc where we have fun splashing in the streams, climbing the rocks, learning about the environment and wildlife around us. If it's sunny, we love to picnic. We visit the local library and enjoy borrowing books to explore when we get home, as well as taking part in the toddler sessions.
Indoors, we enjoy baking, painting, building with blocks, model making, playdoh, reading, playing games, and completing jigsaws, plus much, much more. I have a fantastic collection of toys suitable for all ages, ranging from soft baby toys, Vtech educational toys, a wooden kitchen with pots and pans for imaginative play, dolls house, dressing up clothes, train set, wooden castle, jigsaws and a huge collection of books.
I have a secure back garden with lots of outdoor toys, a giant pirate ship, a Mud Kitchen, slide, a cosy coupe car, tents, etc. All water-based activities are strictly supervised at all times.
For children under 5, I complete daily diaries so you are able to see what your child has done on a daily basis, what they have eaten, and any important milestones they have achieved.
I collect from Abbey Lane School on Monday to Thursday.
We have a 12 year old dog Alfie and a 5 year old dog Luna.
I drive a Volvo that is fully insured for work and has suitable car seats for all ages.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
Full time £5.00 per hour (07:30- 17:30)
Before and after school fees £5.00 per hour
Breakfast, mid-morning, and mid afternoon snack - no charge.
Lunch is a hot cooked meal at a cost of £1.90

Fish fingers, chunky wedges, and vegetables
Chinese chicken with noodles and prawn crackers
Dessert is a selection of fruit and yoghurt or cakes made by the children
Tea £1.00
Tea is a selection of fruit, toast, breadsticks, hummus, and yoghurt.
All meals can be substituted for a vegetarian/vegan/lactose free option if required.
Alternatively, if you prefer, you are able to supply meals for your child .
