About Me
Kim’s Academy | Investing in Futures
Hello, I’m Kim, the founder of Kim’s Academy, a warm, nurturing and ambitious home-based early years setting where we believe that the earliest years of a child’s life are an investment in their future.
I am a highly experienced Early Years professional, childminder, trainer and coach, with many years of experience supporting children, families and Early Years practitioners.
I previously worked as an Ofsted-registered childminder for over 20 years and achieved Outstanding in two consecutive Ofsted inspections. Alongside my own childminding practice, I have spent many years training, coaching and supporting Early Years professionals, including delivering training for national Early Years organisations and supporting hundreds of childminders with their professional development.
My Experience
A family setting with a difference
Kim’s Academy is based in our large, beautiful family home, providing children with plenty of space to learn, explore, play and develop.
It really is a family environment.
My daughter works alongside me and is a qualified midwife, bringing a wonderful additional depth of knowledge around babies, child development, health and wellbeing.
My son works in finance, but also brings his own talents into the setting by offering drumming and music sessions for the children – giving them opportunities to explore rhythm, movement, listening and self-expression.
And, of course, there are two other members of the family children quickly get to know: our much-loved cats, Huey and Riley!

Mon-Fri 7am - 7pm
My Fees
- Childminding from £9.00 per hour
£90 per day all inclusive
