My Experience
A gentle beginning for your baby
We understand what a big decision it is to leave your baby in someone else's care.
That's why we place such importance on getting to know your child, understanding their routines and building a trusting partnership with you from the very beginning.
Our approach includes:

Respect for babies' feeding, sleeping and personal-care routines
Sensory exploration, music, stories and meaningful play
Plenty of talking, singing and opportunities to build early communication
Outdoor experiences and opportunities to discover the natural world
Regular communication so you can share in your child's progress
We believe babies and young children learn through secure relationships, positive interactions, movement, curiosity and play based learning.
Big ambitions for little learners
Our carefully planned curriculum draws inspiration from Montessori education, nature-based learning, early STEM and an understanding of how young children develop.
We provide rich, largely screen-free learning experiences that nurture confidence, independence, communication, creativity and a love of discovery.
Learning is never about rushing children. It is about understanding their individual development and offering the right experiences at the right time.
A real family environment
Kim's Academy is based in our spacious family home, offering children room to play, explore, relax and enjoy familiar daily routines.
My daughter works alongside me and is a qualified midwife, bringing additional knowledge and experience of babies, family wellbeing and early development.
We value inclusion and recognise that every child develops differently. Our approach is informed, patient, respectful and responsive to individual strengths and needs.
Working in partnership with parents
We know that great childcare is about supporting the whole family.
We take time to listen to parents, understand what matters to them and share children's everyday experiences and achievements.
Our aim is for parents to feel confident that their child is happy, safe, learning and genuinely cared for.

My Availability
Mon-Fri 7am - 7pm
My Fees
- Childminding from £8.50 per hour
Private childcare from £8.50 per hour, with a standard day rate of £85.
Our private day rate includes meals, snacks and everyday learning activities.
We offer eligible government-funded childcare from the term after a child turns nine months, as well as funded childcare for eligible older children.
We also accept Tax-Free Childcare and offer sibling discounts.
