Dory's Childminding Services mission statement;
I aim to provide good quality home based childcare which is a fun thriving environment for the children in my setting. I will provide stimulating focus activities that link in to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).I have a well stocked play room and garden that covers all 7 areas of the new EYFS I believe that children learn best through play and their own interest so I adapt activities to capture a Childs interest and imagination. I will try not to work to full capacity, as I have the children’s best interest at heart.
Why choose Dory’s childminding service, I am confident in the fact that not all childminders are the same. I provide a loving, caring home based child friendly environment, where your child will be treated as an individual and I will work with your child to encourage independents and help them to expand on their learning and I will encourage them to join in with focus activities.

My daughter has been going to Dorothy and Sam for 7 months now and in that time she has come on so much.
Dorothy and Sam provide a wonderful friendly, caring, fun and educational environment, that is also homely.
My daughter was 2 years 9 months when she started going to Dory's. Until that time I had worked evenings so I had practically been a stay at home mum. This meant that it was a big step for me to get a day job and have to leave my daughter with someone else. Despite being a mummy's girl she settled in brilliantly within a couple of weeks. I think it took me longer to adjust to the change than it did for my daughter. Now I realise that it is the best thing I could have done for her. I believe that her development has taken a huge step forward since going to Dory's. She enjoys socialising with her friends, learning, visits to soft play, amongst others, and Dory's famous pancakes go down a treat at breakfast time.
Dory and Sam have been flexible to my needs as I do not have a fixed rota. They do all that they can to accommodate mine, and most importantly my daughters, needs. She is treated as an individual and not just as job but almost like part of their family. I could not wish for anything better and can't thank them both enough for all that they do for her.

...as stated by my 4 yr old - and without prompting!
My two daughters (4 and 6) attend Dory's Childminding Service and have settled straight away (which is usually a struggle with my youngest child).
There are always a fantastic range of activities available for them. They are cared for and nurtured there (so much so they don't want to leave!).
They have only been with Dory's a couple of weeks but have fitted straight in to their welcoming environment.
One very happy mummy and 2 even happier children!

I am a single mother who returned to full tome work when my little girl was about 6 months old. I have recently enrolled my daughter in Dory's childminding services and increased the amount of time she goes there. Both Dorothy and Sam are extremely friendly and are dedicated to teaching children early years education. My daughter was only very young when she started and has slowly developed her milestones with the support and encouragement of Sam and Dorothy.
Dorothy also supports me with any questions I have and helps me spread the financial cost.
I know that my daughter is now completely settled with Dorothy and Sam to the point where she didn't want to come home! :-)
The environment that Dorothy has created is very homely and conducive to learning.
