About Me
Hi my Name is Rachel, and my setting is Little Stars Childminding. I live in a Portishead with my daughter, and Husband, nearby to schools shops, local parks, playgroups and toddler groups. I have four grown up children 1 who is currently living at home with me, Hannah 25. I have 3 small dogs, Maisie, Isla and Ellie who are all Miniature dachshunds.
I have been a childminder registered with Ofsted since September 2004. I hold an NVQ level three in Children's Care Learning and Development. I accept funding for all ages, I also accept childcare vouchers. I work with my daughter Hannah wo is my assistant.
I have a small enclosed rear garden with play equipment I work in partnership with parents by delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage. I use Baby’s Day’s to communicate electronically with parents, from updating daily with our activities and photos, and a learning profile to record all the special and unique things that your child achieves throughout their development. I can pick up from St Peters primary school in Portishead.
My Experience
I have been a registered childminder since 2004 and have four children of my own, who are now all adults, so have had lots of hands on experience. I Hold a level 3 in Childrens care learning and development.
My Qualifications
I am Ofsted registered and I am a member of Pacey with who i am insured with. NVQ Qualified to level 3, in children's Care Learning and Development. I am also SEND portal trained . I regularly attend training to keep up to date with relevant changes and legislation, such as child safeguarding and and Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. I attend training on healthy eating and food preparation. I hold a current paediatric first aid certificate and food hygiene certificate. I keep upto date with child protection training.
My Availability
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday hours 8-5.30. I am fairly flexible on times to suit different requirements. You can email me for more details
