About Me
Hi my name is Sophie, I am 35 and have been childminding and nannying for over 10 years now.I absolutely love my job and the parents and especially children I care for. I had my Ofsted inspection and I received a grade 2: GOOD which I am over the moon with. The inspector was very impressed.
I currently live with my partner in Upper Beeding with my son who is 13 and a 1 year old.We have a lovely 3 bedroom family home situated down a quiet close with a safe drop off point and a great enclosed garden.
I have been a stay at home mum in the past which I love and would love to offer the chance for other children to be in the home from home environment, or indeed in their own home. I am a friendly, reliable,caring person with bundles of energy which I feel is great for looking after the little ones as most of the time they are always on the go!
Having the childminding course behind me has given me a great deal of knowledge and insight into the childcare world and I will definitely put the knowledge to great use in my work.
My Experience
My experience first started when I was a teenager and did a lot of babysitting, this progressed and I decided to take up a career in childcare. I have childcare experience from a nursery setting when I was 17 which unfortunately I was unable to continue due to relocation with family. However I feel the most experience I have is having my own son. I have learnt so much being a parent, and always love learning everything new that I possibly can and passing on the experience.
My Qualifications
I have attended training and gained certificates in the following;
Paediatric first aid course,Child protection, risk assessment, health and safety, childminding CYPOP5 course, and I am still currently attending more courses and always updating them.
I am also CRB checked and so is my partner.

Couldn’t of found a nicer person to look after my four year old. Even when she went to school Sophie did the school drop off and pick up as well. My daughter always enjoyed going to her house and playing with other children, she would go out for picnics to the park or farm and even if they were at home she would come home with arts and craft. Sophie always has a smile and is a complete natural with kids, she has even looked after my twins babysitting when I’ve needed a night out.

This is the first time I had to get a babysitter so I was a bit hesitant, I messaged Sophie and she was quick to reply back. She has a lot of experience with children, when I met her she put me at ease and my little girl loves her straight away with her bubbly personality and warm present. My daughter can be a bit tricky to put to sleep but Sophie did it so easily by telling bedtime stories and calming her down.
So glad I met Sophie.

Due to school catchment areas we are changing childminders. Sophie has been an absolute godsend and our two boys adore her. I feel like she is a family member the way she looks after the boys. She has always been accommodating and flexible. Highly recommend Sophie!! Xx
