Nanny-housekeeper, driver, cook. This role and hours worked can be shaped for the right candidate.

Job Type: Full-time or part time, live out Clyro/Hay on Wye.

Location: Near Hay on Wye, Powys
Hourly rate: Competitive, based on experience.

Job Summary: We are looking for someone emotionally intelligent, caring, kind, child centred, highly communicative and adaptive to our family five’s needs. We have 2 boys aged 13 and 15 plus a baby now 8 months. We live in a beautiful home overlooking the Black Mountains.

We need someone energetic and adaptable who can help around the home, drive the teenagers to and from school and activities and sometimes be a nanny to the baby. We do have a weekday nanny who you would need to work alongside. We need someone with kindness, flexibility and energy. We are experienced parents looking for someone hard working, relaxed and calm, to be another part of our great team.

Driving and your own car (mileage paid) is essential. A love of cooking family meals from scratch, helping with the home, garden or animals also desirable.

We can shape the role to the skills of the right person.

Most of the time the right person will be as comfortable with meeting the needs of (very mature) teenagers, cooking and house care as they are with a baby/toddler.

Essential Skills:
• Full drivers licence and experience of driving. A large share of the week’s school and activity runs of over an hour will be an important part of the week’s tasks.
• A kind, patient, and nurturing personality.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

Desirable Skills:
• Love of cooking from scratch
• Love of animals and the outdoors. (Gardening/weeding could be part of the role for someone)
• Good sense of humour


Housekeeping Duties (depending on candidate):
• Assist in keeping our home clean, organized, and running smoothly (with us and alongside our cleaner)
• Handle some laundry, ironing, and folding
• Assist with meal prep and cooking (depending on candidate)
• Run errands and help with shopping
• Assist with looking after our two dogs and ever-growing collection of animals (chickens, goats etc) (depending on candidate).

Working week and timescale:
Hours to be discussed. Could be full time or part time depending on the skills of the candidate. Certainly some weekdays, frequent Saturdays and evenings.

There may be an additional driver/handyman/cleaner/gardener and or admin role available for a couple looking to relocate. (Accommodation not provided)
