About Me

**TERM TIME ONLY SPACES AVAILABLE FROM SEPTEMBER 2025 0-3year olds**

Hello,

My name is Lisa and I am an Ofsted registered childminder and mom to two daughters and a dog called Zidane, 2 budgies called Dori and Kiwi and a little fish tank. I am from South Africa but have been living in the UK since 2006.
I have just 2 Ofsted inspection so far and have received a Good in both of them. Last inspection was in June 2025.

I am a very affectionate, understanding and giving person. I try to be as flexible and accommodating as possible so please feel free to contact me with your needs.

I love getting involved with the children in all of the daily activities we do and take great pride in seeing them grow and flourish into independant confident individuals.

I believe that every child is special and that they all deserve to be cared for in a safe, healthy, secure and loving environment. I want every parent to feel happy in the knowledge that while they are working their precious little ones have been left in such an environment where they can continue to develop and grow into happy, content and confident individuals.

I provide a 'home away from home' environment and only take on a few children. I like to keep my setting small and personal which gives me the ability to offer more attention and care to each child

Whilst your child is under my care I provide a range of activities (fully integrated Early Years Foundation Stage framework) to enable the children to develop and learn through play in a caring, supportive and happy environment.

I have a lovely playroom which is full of books, educational toys and other toys that leads onto a large garden which we use regularly and has lots of play equipment including a trampoline.

We go to parks, toddler groups, the library, rhyme time, go on nature walks, play dates and we go to great places like the zoo and jimmy's farm, which is a favourite with all the kids.

We play with Playdough, sand and water. We get messy with water, shaving foam and mud. We look at books. We learn about different people and cultures. We learn to recognise letters and numbers and words. We copy the stories in our play and best of all we love to cuddle up together and listen to stories, We paint, draw, pretend to write, cut out and glue. We make collages and prints. We learn to use scissors and to be creative. We sing songs and make music, we listen to music from different countries, we dance and learn new songs. We make friends and learn about sharing, taking turns and respecting people, we learn to mix with children who may be older or younger than us. We learn about the rules and how to say "Sorry" if we upset someone.

I also have a network of childminder and mummy friends who I meet up with regularly, which is great as the children form relationships with others their own age.
